Questions about robberies

Im going to give an example on robbing someone, and would like to know if they are RP

If i was robbing someone, and im behind them (they are not facing me), I point a gun at them and say "Listen, this is a robbery, im going to need you to put your hands up" (then i say how if he whips a gun on me and tries to shoot him, im going to have to kill him. I also say how if he complies and dosent try to kill me to save themselves, they will live another day etc etc) 

First scenario is he pulls out a gun and begins to turn around (and longer wait and he would have shot me) because of that I kill him. Is that Fail RP?

Next scenario is he turns around and begins to run away, I try to shoot his leg but end up killing him (This has happend to me many times where iv been shot) (Im also shouting for him to stop running before i open fire, I dont immediately start shooting)

Third scenario is a friend of his comes (without my knowledge) and kills me without saying anything (another one that happens to me a lot) Is that Fail RP on their end?

And a random one:

I have a strong feeling im going to get robbed (lets say at the drug dealers), I whip out my gun and begin to say "Im not here to rob you, my gun is out for self defense only, I will not initiate and will not rob" and I basically say clearly Im not here to rob and as long as they dont try it with me then everyone will be fine. Is that FailRP? And assuming they for what ever reason initiate on me, I shoot back and kill one of them or they kill me, is that fail RP?

Sorry for long post, but these scenarios happen a lot for me and the last one is the only way i can imagine preventing yourself from getting robbed

PS Obviously I would talk more than this before opening fire on anyone 

Hey there man. Firstly, I would like to say that it's very good of you to come to the forums and ask people about this.

Ok so here is my answers to the first 3 scenarios.

1. This on, I am personally not 100% sure on so I won't give you potentially wrong information.

2. If someone has a gun to their head and they decide to run knowing fully well that you will shoot them if they run.... You should be clear to open fire. Aiming for the legs is a good idea but if you kill them then that is their fault. They knew the risks that they took by running. 

3. That's not a fail rp. That's a straight up RDM. If they have friends in the area and they want their friend to be able to engage you then they have to initiate for them, as well as hotmic any relevant communications so that you could hear them (as would be realistic).

I hope this helps. Please understand that I am not an authority on any of this. This is just my opinion but I believe it to be correct.

As long as you provided him with high quality roleplay which if you said this you did:

You can then shoot or knockout the said person out if he does not do what you specified in the above statement

Again if you have already said if he tries something funny he will be shot and given him high quality roleplay you are within full right to kill him when he bolts i dont think you even need to say stop running before you do but its always a plus to give him a chance .

If the person you are robbing didn't say he has friends in the are and hasn't hotmiced his communications he and his friends have broken the fail-rp , rdm and hotmicing rule ,Unless the person you are robbing is a whitelisted faction (cop or Poseidon ) in which case stating he has friends (other faction members ) in the area is not needed because of the uniforms you initiating on 1 whitelisted faction members is the same as engaging the entire faction without them needing to initiate for their fellow colleagues.

Not entirely sure i understand this one , you cant pull a weapon and say i'm not here to rob i'm here for self defense and then based on that when you are initiated shoot the person , keep in mind high quality roleplay must have taken place between you and the guy thats initiating on you so that means if he initiates on you , you must initiate back.

so, First of we cant give black and white examples of what is considered high quality rp. Every roleplay situation is different. The only thing we can say be creative. 
Now i am gonna link a post, that will explain what we expect from a player. 

Nuclear Atlas makes a good point there. For the first one, a knock out may very well be a good option. It's not lethal and you still get to defend yourself. I would make sure to tell them that if they do anything funny, that they will be knocked out.

Ill try and explain better, If neither of us have our guns out, And i have a strong feeling they will try to rob me, there is nothing i can do to stop this situation, because once they pull their guns on me, if i try to do anything in self defence they will kill me. Therefore by already having my guns out, (but stating clearly that its not for any aggressive reasons and is simply to prevent them from robbing me)

To make it more clear, i dont pull my weapon out on them and begin saying my stuff, its already out but not pointed at them before they come in and attempt to rob me (I say im not here to rob you so they dont have a reason to engage on me)

You can have your gun out for whatever purpose anywhere you like as long as it isn't a green/blue/purple zone.

Also I want to say, when i say the gun is out for self defense I dont mean it as an excuse to shoot, its supposed to be a deterrent, because if someone has their gun out, its less likely that someone will try to rob them

Thanks for the help everyone

For the last scenario you are talking about here is a couple of facts that could be useful:

• If no one has a gun out don't escalate it by pulling yours out (people react to smallest of things keep it friendly) , if you see someone in the crowd pulling out the weapon do the same at the same moment therefore if he decides to initiate you have a gun out already.
  
• Being calm and not easily frightened takes you a long way when you are doing a run you can lie and casually mention to people you are nearby in the conversation with them that you have friend watching over you (even if you don't have any) that way they will think twice before risking anything.
