Your radio has been taken

When in a situation with lets say the police if their rushing you when you have your hands on your head they zip tie you, yet on your screen it shows 'Your Radio has been taken' but the one that had taken it didn't say that they have taken your communications away from you. Now its the moral thing to go with it and act like they said it. My question is if on our screen it shows our radio has been taken but the person that restrained you didn't say that they took it can we still talk friends and allies in the radio. My only answer to my own question would be 'what's a screen' if they haven't said it you don't know its gone.

Surely if someone was to take something off you IRL you would see them take it? I doubt IRL someone mugging you is going to need to explain he is taking your phone or whatever, common sense really. I am assuming it is there as you can't physically see what is being taken so lets you know as it is an important item to know if it's been taken.

If you're communications has been taken via the windows key "Take communications" option you are no longer in the possession of a radio and you are to mute any VOIP. Giving out any In-character information over VOIP at this point would class under rule

(4.4) If you are restrained and communications have been removed you must not be active on any other forms of communications other than direct chat.

I understand what you mean but in this case the person could be restrained for having an illegal firearms, an officer may be more keen to seize the weapon rather than communications first. What I'm saying is this has happened multiple times to me, officers have been more concerned about a weapon rather than communications they then come back and take away my communications with out saying so yet i do the morel thing by muting all communications as well as my self. (taken to rules and feed back i feel were getting a bit side tracked me answering back to a question i have).
