hello i want to join  the police and i have read the notice but just wondering whether there is a SI that i can talk to about this

Can I just ask what was the reason for this change because now I don't want to go through the faff of sorting this out only to most likely fail.

If you have that mindset you only set yourself up to fail. Why should the police go through the 'faff' when you can't be bothered? 

Its there for a reason. To ensure mature (to a desired and acceptable level) people enter the police (this is a form of filtering that the police choose to adopt at the moment) and to make sure that the quality is there within our younger recruits who have often been immature and lacked the needed level head. Not to say all underage people are immature but it's to make sure we get the best of the bunch.

No it's just that I don't have long left of my holidays and now because of this rule I have to have eight hours in a week which most likely won't happen and that's what I mean by I will most likely fail. I will still try to do it but now it's a much longer system
