The worlds biggest bonfire will get lit today. This is happening tonight and they are starting it at 20.00. 

This is my hometown Ålesund

No idea, they build them all over Northern Ireland for the 11th July Night to commemorate the Battle of the Boyne. Though it's somewhat turned into more just sectarian dick-waving and an excuse for violence than a celebration of true culture or heritage. Every 12th there are parades - these descend into Riots.
