I read in the Announcements that there will be a global wipe on 2/06/16.

Does that mean that everything on the server will be deleted? Every single base and all the ressources i collected?

Or can someone explain to me what that means?

On the first Rust update of a new month there is always a global wipe, This is because they usually release a big update.

I used to be very attached to bases and hate updates/wipes @Mr Cardosowill verify my rages!

Now I see it as an exciting new start, The plan is to also get some dedicated staff into our Rust server before that date also.

Do not worry about the wipes, you'll learn to love the wipes more than you should :p

Good news is we will be playing once the wipe happens, so more players to have fun with :)

 
believe it or not wipes are actually good, if a server does not get wiped people get raided and quit, after too long their will only be 1 gang remaining, frequent wipes means the server is kept fresh, as long as its not a BP wipe its all good.

 
Just wanted to add that I agree with the other gents. At first, after playing thousands of hours of Arma, I couldn't bare the idea of one wipe a month. After I started playing, I got excited about wipes, since after each wipe you'll start gathering stuff more efficient, build an even better base than the last time, have a better strategy for whatever you wanna do (whether it's RP, PVE, or PVP), and I'm pretty sure you'll get a similar feeling. I thought it was just me, but after reading the above, it's confirmed that it's probably a more general thingy.

I've just finished my first shit shack on the (roleplay.co.uk) Rust server, and am looking forward to the wipe and meeting you guys there!
