Will not restart

Hey just noticed a tech part of this forum might aswell use it if we have some pc techs around here. I built my pc few years ago and since day 1 it wont restart it will shutdown no problems but when i click restart it simply shuts down. Iv searched google like all respectable men do and found no answers. Anyone got this problem and resolved it?

Oh, I thought u meant the physical button It's worth checking tho

nah m8 its when i click restart or the pc asks me to restart after installing something i can never restart it have to shut it down it never boots back up

what're y'all doing to mess up these computers they dont even restart.

As a test - click start and type "shutdown /r /f" a command windows may/may not open briefly, but that should initiate a forced shutdown and restart of the OS. If that doesn't do it, then I am wagering some ACPI power/chipset fuckery
