Quick description of what happened:Today, I was in Kavala(server#1), at around 15:40 GMT an offroad was hurled into the air(arma physics) & fell back on the ground near the SZ in Kavala. It killed me, at that point I was near that SZ, I've decided to wait for an medic, which showed up, but didn't revived me. It was like 5 minutes before the server restarted, medic was few meters away from my body, I don't know why he decided not to revive me. Also right after that a police officer showed up next to my body(that medic was still near at that point), he also didn't revived me. One reason for that might be, that someone told a LIE about me(maybe) or threatened the medic not to revive me(although I haven't done anything against 3rd party players). I was surprised, that I ain't got any help(even being in SZ or on its border). I always wait 15 minutes(lying on the ground- dead body) before I re-spawn, If there's a medic online. I just wonder, If I can get compensated for this, although I know that arma physics killed me(which is not compensatable).

This incident raises some questions by me:
  • should I wait for a medic at all (someone might prevent the medic from reviving me, telling the medic some lies or even giving him threats)
  • should I wait for a medic when the server is about to restart (5 minutes before restart)
  • should I wait for a medic when I know, that there is at least 1 medic online, with whom I had a previous incident (example: I've robed/killed the medic, while he was playing another role - off duty & ages ago, he might still be mad at me)
Even with regular clicks on "request medic" option, I wasn't so lucky as I wished, or thought.

I feel as a medic I should at least answer a couple of these questions you have raised.

  • should I wait for a medic at all (someone might prevent the medic from reviving me, telling the medic some lies or even giving him threats)
When we arrive on scene and there are people around they are either people that just want to see what's happened or people that have been involved in whatever incident. If there has been a shooting or a robbing I always call for police support on the radio.  If someone says not to revive someone, as a medic its my job to try to save everybody. They usually don't want you to revive them because they tried robbing that person or shooting that person. This is fine because they were defending themselves but I personally ask them if it at all possible to help them once they have left the area, if they still say no then I leave but 95% of the time they are fine with this and say yes, you can revive them once I am out of the area and give us a time limit before approaching the victim.

  • should I wait for a medic when the server is about to restart (5 minutes before restart)
This really is a tough one. I would say it all depends on how many medics are on and how far away they are. The problem is you cant see how busy we are and may be dealing with a multiple victim incident. We have also been dealing with one incident and been caught up in a gun fight to which all we could do was just lie on the ground until either the police made the area safe or the civs overpowered them and told us to leave.

  • should I wait for a medic when I know, that there is at least 1 medic online, with whom I had a previous incident (example: I've robed/killed the medic, while he was playing another role - off duty & ages ago, he might still be mad at me)
This personally does not come into play with me but I cant speak for the many other medics online. Yes we may be annoyed but when I am on duty a life is a life and if I can save it I will do my best to get there and deal with the situation. I for one think it would be great RP if someone you have been robbed by now needs your help as a medic. This can all start off by the medic introducing himself and you remembering his name or appearance if it was given in the first incident. I don't see how this would work if the medic was killed as the NLR would come into play and he would not remember anyway.

I can only give my opinions as a medic and I dont know if any others will but I hope it helps.

Steve

I recall my request as I have noticed, when I came back I still had the same gear as before, even though I was dead on the ground to the end till the server restarted. Am I allowed to keep it, like a compensation?
