Why is there ban appeal

Its there so people can ask for a unban... if they think they need another chance on the server. 

 
If somebody makes a single mistake, their case can be reviewed by a neutral third party and an unban can be issued one time only. After that, it's assumed that you're either ignorant of the rules or breaking them purposefully and you have a 6 month wait before an appeal.

 
Basically there is the normal ban appeal because this is where people post normal bans as first time offenders/appeal any ban unless directed to post a permanent appeal on their last denied normal appeal.

Ban appeal=common place, dealt with by any staff member

Perma appeal= anyone that has been banned for 6months+ with a denied normal appeal. Dealt with management and/or community manager. These bans are for serious rule violations or people that have been banned too many times and forced to have a long time out.

 
I got banned, but i think my friend said i got permaban for being racist. i know, i know that was a dick move i was in a bad mood, but it was my fault.

Oh and if anyone can answer this: why cant i write a ban appeal?

and is racisim a serious rule valiation?

You need to select 'Create+'>forms>ban appeal.
