Why is that considered VDM?

A friend and I where play and we where being told to pull over still in our trucks that we consider quite vital to ourselves, but had nothing of real value otherwise and freaked out.

This later ended up with us finding out you cannot ram anyone/vehicle, IN or out of combat.

Why is it that that is considered vdm? their trying to rob us and maybe kill use why can't we kill or at least disable their vehicle?

Then I was wondering as they said they where only shooting at our tires.. no idea if it was true. are they not allowed to shoot us out of out trucks after telling us to pull over? (didn't see anything about that in the rules... they finally gave up when one of them got killed as they where driving by)

Also why arn't we allowed to drive into a blue/green zone?  I was in chase for some 10 minutes doing everything I could to ditch them.

You're not allowed to go into a blue or greenzone because they are safe zones with rules protecting you. If someone takes trouble following you, roleplay is initiated and you cant just end it by going into a safe zone. It ruins things for the other side. No matter how much you do not want to lose your stuff, losing it is part of the risk that makes the game fun. Why take that away from yourself by exploiting the rules to get to safety?

Btw, getting away is easier than you think, just think out of the box. Make quick turns in cities, hide behind a building just after a corner, take risky routes and hope you don't crash before they do, attract cop attention by speeding, beeping, driving on wrong side of the road, so they pull you over and protect you when the people chasing you stop.

VDM isn't allowed because you get trolls ramming everyone so no one can stand up. It also causes explosions and has no roleplay aspect for the server. It is not allowed under any circumstance ( unless a car is stuck and no one besides yourself will get harmed I guess ).

bascially ramming people and cars is a shitty thing to do with no real serious aspect of roleplay. It doesn't happen much in real life unless it is an accident, of which if it is obvious it wasn't on purpose or if you actually apologise, pay compensation. Roleplay after then you shouldn't get banned for it.

If someone is trying to shoot you, why can't you run them over or semi wreck their vehicle to help get away?

The only thing I can say now about the green/blue zone part is that well if you go into a police hq... they can help you.

IRL if I had a tank im sure I'd willingly run a car over that is trying to kill me.

To be honest mate I've explained why VDM is unacceptable if you do it because you don't see why it's not then you won't last here.

Tbh, it shoudnt even matter why or how. It is in the rules, you either live by them or you get yourself banned and find a server where VDM is allowed.

I 100% understand on this server it is considered VDM, and am here asking about the logic behind it.

I'm questioning the logic behind the

"you can't run anyone over or crash into cars that are in combat with you trying to kill you" part of VDM.

Its still RP... They initiate it, try to kill me/rob I try to kill you if I can't get away.

To my and a friend this sounds 100% logical.

To probably every other server a rule like this sounds mad.

I'm 120% more likely to die as I get out or due to dsync that likes to plague servers.

The other 2 parts of VDM sound perfectly fine.

I still understand that it is a rule here, but no one else thinks it's silly?

Look there's logic behind the rule. You cannot run people over or ram cars because they'll just blow up the car. This kills you and them including innocent people that get caught up.  It ruins everyone's roleplay because there's no 'put your hands up or die' it's literally *boom* everyone's dead. It's just not fair on anyone and had no roleplay aspect. This is serious roleplay server, not some shitty place were you break people's legs in kavala constantly. It removes the time wasters that obviously won't spend their time on the server seriously role playing.
