Why is Tempest mining disabled?

Yday i bought Tempest device and went to aluminium mine. Got out,pressed windows key and clicked on mine with device and message appeared that mining with device is disabled. Anyone know why? Cause i remember people were using it for copper or sand in old times when copper pro was at Agios.
