Why do notifications on iphone pause music?

So im not sure if this is meant too be like this so im putting it here. Basicly when ever i go on the forums and get a notification (liked posts / quoted / get followed). It paused my music on my phone.

Just turn the notifications for google off of your phone when you want to play music. Go to settings->Notifications/Sound or some shit like that-> And then press the green pill/jelly bean looking thing.
