Is there any way to get unwhitelisted from opfor as I didn't know I needed to sign up for it?

Could you be more specific? Explain why you want to be unwhitelisted from whatever?

Had a check through your account, you are not whitelisted for any of the factions. Please specify what you exactly you are talking about.

I presume you are getting the "You are note whitelisted message" in which case that is because you are attempting to join the Opfor slots which are one of the whitelisted factions, the same goes for Blufor and Indi as they are Police and NHS respectively. You need to join the civilian slots (purple) if you wish to play unless you apply for one of the factions and get in.
