PROS : I think its something to servers missing, make the repair kits seriously expensive, this will reduce so many people doing 140MPH and smashing into people and acting stupid and what not. We have the NHS, FIRE, POLICE and so on, but a Mechanics Kwit Fit Or AA would introduce more of a RP, Such as example

Player A - Player

Player B - AA/KWITFIT Mechanic

Player A has a really bad accidence complete wreckage. Police turns up and requests recovery e.t.c. Or if someone breaks down and realistically its not a roadside repair and would need to be taken to a garage to be fixed. Not doing engine rebuilds on a carriage way. Have a place to be the HQ were on call staff could just chill and hang around and await someone to come in or request someone to be there. Player B Can then do a full role played event if they wish by cone ing off the road to make sure his safe e.t.c. Obviously its down to the players how far they go with this. Could have a differnt ranking system as you do with trainee e.t.c and pay a better wage. Have there own uniform, and own vehicles, like vans, flat beds e.t.c

CONS: Unsure the costing wise for resource packs e.t.c, and probably will require more dev work.

I think this could work if parts of the role are whitelisted, there is no reason to fully remove the job from the public as there is a need for mechanics, one that would not be met by a purely whitelisted role. What would be beneficial is creating a higher tier of mechanics for use by specific people mainly Tire Nutz and Auto Exotic staff, these mechanic groups already exist and have been RPing hard and would be perfect to take on this role with the potential for other groups to gain access to this perk later. They could potentially have the ability to mark cars for impound, repair without using repair kits or be able to close roads or put down warning cones and triangles.

If there was going to then be a group the purely did this sort of work dealing with breakdowns then it would be better for it to start in roleplay like TN and AE and then propose getting access to these perks as this would show that there was sufficient interest in it from people to warrant it being added.

-1 I think the mechanic job should be available to anyone and that any whitelisted perks for it would be better off going to an existing group rather then adding a new faction.

The community is crying out for more civilian roles but I don't think this fits. I'm more inclinded to agree with this suggestion referenced I made in December:

People want new civ roles. Here are some of my favourites:
