When you quit police

I have a few friends that play as civilian and I really want to play but they all do crime, now I'm a police officer and its great but sometimes I miss the taking hostages and the adrenaline of robbing a fuel station. Now I will get to the point if someone quits the police force 1. Can they join back  2. Do they keep their rank e.g. if you are PC and leave then join back will you be pc or do you have to do the interview, module 1, module 2 and earn back your rank?

If you quit, you quit. You come back as a CSO unless it is a very special circumstance. If you leave more than 2 times I believe then it is counted as being un-decided and I think you get blacklisted.

You have to redo the interview and application.
