Dear
Vincenzo1311
Just keep in mind, if an officer stops you and asks you about the murder on your record (it will add automatically when you kill someone). You will need to explain in detail it was self defence. If you say you just walked up to someone and shot him, we, the officers, will believe what you say, since we were not there on the scene.
From personal experience, if I detain someone for murder, and he gives me a good explenation about the murder, I will let him go off with like a 50 pound ticket to clean the PNC. But if he just says self defence and a questionable or short explenation, I will go up to 5,000 pounds. And if he says it was just straight up murder, I will give him a 50,000 pounds ticket for at least not lying. Keep in mind that there is a difference between murder and manslaughter. Only murder shows up on the PNC since it will be you ingame that shoots someone, the AI can't really determine if it was manslaughter or murder. You will have to explain this clearly to the police officer who detained you. The punishments for both are also different, according to the offences against a persons act of 1861:
Murder:
Prison
Manslaughter:
£50,000
However, keep in mind that these are the maximum punishments we can hand out, because it says prison, it doesn't mean you are going to prison. If I see someone shooting another person when I'm patrolling, I will investigate and if he clearly lies, he is going to prison. But that is my vision, not everyone has my vision, so again, you will have to be lucky by who is arresting you.
The right way how to use a firearm is, always keep it holstered, unless you are in danger. While having a weapon, you need to keep in mind that on arma, you do not have a safety. Keep in mind that there are some safety guidelines of a weapon you can use ingame as well:
1 -
All guns are loaded until proven unloaded
2 -
Never point your muzzle to something you do not want to shoot
3 -
Keep your finger off the trigger (mouse here) until your sights are on your target
4 -
Be sure of your target
and what is beyond it
If you keep these 4 in the back of your head, it will be less likely a police officer will take away your legal firearm. If I see a civilian pointing his weapon at someone else, I take it off him, no doubts.
If you are getting robbed and the police are on scene, notify the police, but keep that gun where it belongs, in your pocket, or your holster. If you get it out, you are a danger to the officers, civilians and it's surroundings. If you're being detained, it is always better to notify the police you have a legal firearm in your pocket.
If you have further questions about the laws and how to use a weapon, feel free to contact me.
With kind regards;
