I have to disagree with you I have shadowplay and it cuts up my audio from time to time, and if you have been recording a while say a session it will record, but not run as the memory stops, not to mention if I'm poked on TS it saves and stops working,so I have to exit and restart it. It becomes a pain after a while, even though the "quick button" is convenient.Nvidia Shadowplay, part of Geforce experience. Only catch is that you have to have a Geforce card above a 660 I think.
The way it works is that it is always recording (and takes a very small performance hit, less than 5-10%) and when something happens (e.g. you get RDM'ed, you press a hotkey, and it captures the last section of gameplay (up to 20 mins).
I use it all the time, and it has helped me prove myself out of what would otherwise have been quite a sticky situation
EDIT:
Though I'd best chuck in the link for anyone who is interested: http://www.geforce.co.uk/geforce-experience
Iv tested OBS and tbh for recording its perfect. It captures video in HD so all good and no problem with audio cutting out ectI don't like xSplit because of the premium featurews you need to pay for.
Let me say i like OBS to stream, not record.. have to try it as a recorder.
Only problem I find with OBS is if you're recording your voice via microphone the audio levels for said microphone are so rubbish it sounds like you're whispering.Hands down OBS (Open Broadcast Software)
