What FPS do you get?

18, 4 in kavala :) . I'd set up my SSD but i can't be arsed xD

I get between 40 and 60 fps (vsync off) at 1080p on ultra with FXAA on 8 or whatever the max is. I run a i7 4770K @ 4.2, 16GB ram, dual 980s, ssd. But this is with the current low gpu utilisation bug on 970/980 cards.

I got about the same on my older dual 780 setup too.

I get about 25 in Kavala, 30 in other towns and about 45-60 in the open.

Keep in mind that Arma is a very CPU intensive application (poor engine design imo).

GPU and HDD are almost irrelevant. Raw Ghz is the key to good Arma performance.

Suffice to say, don't worry about GPU, or HDD.

Don't worry about Quad core, or Oct core... Get the Ghz.

Someone with a 4.5Ghz processor will get far superior Arma FPS to me with a 3.06Ghz, with the same GPU and HDD.

Low GPU utilisation is not a bug just on those cards, I believe almost all GPU's suffer from the same problem with the Arma engine.

It's been documented a lot on Arma / DayZ forums..

Also, HOW MUCH MONEY DID YOU THROW AT YOUR PC???!?

My setup cost me ~£4200 total. Not that much :p

60FPS Kavala, 80+ Anywhere else. Costed ~£2500 for the computer. Three monitors, Two cards running in SLI. Useful for programming, testing and playing.

Why do you have a Hyper-V box and a separate domain controller? Virtualise that shiznit...

Or the Hyper-V box bounced too often?

The domain controller and pfsense router are both in passively cooled mini it thin cases, the hyper v box is a bit noisy and gets started up on demand. Plus I'm new to hyper v and the setup grew organically from left over parts from previous upgrades :)

DUAL 980's with a CPU that costs 1/4 of it? why arent you upgrading to a 5960X?

The 5960x or any of the haswell-e cpus won't give me any improvement to my fps in gaming. As I don't do a lot of video encoding on this machine (I slave it off to my streaming pc) I don't really next the extra cores either. Plus the 4770K has on-board video, which I need for 2 of my 6 screens.
