Well, guess I'm better off with the bandits instead of the cops

Just started playing. A couple of bandits tonight took over the police checkpoint near Treasury and blocked me in, with my new truck and my first load of copper.

I jump out of the truck, lock it, and run. Eventually they hit me with a bullet and I can't run... so I fire off a text to the police real quick - before the bandits catch up to me - so that at least they won't get my truck.

They hold me up for the few thousand I had on me, then took off.

A few minutes later, the police show up - before I can hobble back to my truck in time - and they immediately impound the truck. Lost all of the copper, all of my starting capital.

Would have been much better off just letting the bandits rob me of my cash and been on my way!

Oh well, lesson learned. Next time I'll take a chance on letting the bandits hold me up and not wasting time on the police.

Your items will be inside of the inventory of the truck when we impound it, unless you are doing drugs... i better hope you arent... else just go to the garage bring it out, and then you can proceed

Oh, then maybe it glitched.

It was just copper (and some food/fuel), but when I got it out of the garage, the trunk was empty.

I'll take it out of the garage again tomorrow and see if the copper's back. If not... oh well, another round of mining it is.

My experience with robbers is if you're unarmed just comply. All they care about is making a quick buck, they won't bother stealing your truck unless it's a good valuable one for chopping.

If we're going to rob your trucks, we usually aim for convoys or high value targets. More often than not, we won't scrap your truck, if it's full with valuable drugs we will take it, sell them and then just leave the truck out of sight with a few tires missing, we aren't complete assholes .

However, in your case, with the truck just being full with copper, we would usually send you on your way, maybe leave you a donut or something for your troubles.
