OK almost a week on the server now. Wow we are learning fast!
We have had some great help.. Miners are awesome, SVGO have helped us loads, many others helping to teach us the ways.
We setup this evening with guns we had just got from Black Market, we got bountys and thought "well we cant do anything now with this bounty so lets rob".
We met up with a new guy who we met by chance and helped him rob some people who had done him over earlier that day by setting them up at the iron trader, we decided to stay, me and another guy setup on the hills, a hobo with a pistol on the ground. We told him he HAS to say "stop hands on your head, do not run I have snipers all around, if you move we will shoot". From there we wanted to rob them, have a bit of fun and games, we like to make people sing and have a bit of banter, were not aggressive guys, the idea was to make some money and let them go with their trucks... but every single one ran and drove off. After the 8th attempt we started making sure guy on ground did same commands and then snipers took shots if they ran.
But people did say they didn't hear him shouting or they didn't think we meant them. We need to stay away from that as it means I was shooting people relying on my team mate to initiate the RP well enough.
So lesson learnt again, stay close or put a guy you know you can rely on, on the ground!
The good things that did happen was I recorded all, made sure he had voice activation on for ts so I can hear what he is shouting at them, when I have heard enough I know they have been initiated in the robbery. I made sure if they felt it was shitty I spoke to them on TS, they all agreed it was out of my hands being sniper and was on the guy on the ground. But took advice from them and going to make our robbery methods a lot better in the future.
So if you are new like us, read this and take note!
