Warning shots

This is an area of confusion for me, and members of my gang. I'm always scared of firing warning shots in case I'm seen as RDMing, and I also don't know whether or not I can open fire on someone who has fired warning shots at me or a helicopter someone in my gang is flying.

What are the rules regarding warning shots, because I can't find anything specific in the rules page.

In terms of warning shots you should tell them verbally they are going to receive one before you do it otherwise it would look like attempted RDM and you just missed XD

On helicopters you can fire 2 shots in front and 2 shots behind. Ideally with tracers so they can see it. After that you can begin to fire on the helicopter itself if you have given ample time for them to leave the area and they still aren't doing. Don't shoot to kill the occupants as that would be RDM but disabling a hovering helicopter would be OK.

Warning shots are only acceptable by tracers rounds... this is because the pilot can see the bullets and understand, "Oh, I'm being given warning shots". If any of the bullets hit the helicopter then it is RDM.

I would still consider it RDM if you fire warning shots using NON tracers and then bring the helicopter down because "you gave warning shots" - but the pilot cannot see non-tracers rounds...

TL;DR - Warning shots are tracers only x
