I signed up about 6months ago and just got my account sorted (at the time it was in testing).

Nice interface, easy to use and most importantly its encrypted.

$10 says NSA still have a back-door to decrypt :p
'We support sending encrypted communication to non-ProtonMail users via symmetric encryption. When you send an encrypted message to a non-ProtonMail user, they receive a link which loads the encrypted message onto their browser which they can decrypt using a decryption passphrase that you have shared with them. You can also send unencrypted messages to Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook and others, just like regular email.'

Nah, almost positive they don't =P

"

What data is encrypted?
The bodies of emails you exchange with other ProtonMail users are always automatically end-to-end encrypted. End-to-end encryption means the message is encrypted on the sender's computer and not decrypted until the recipient unlocks it on his computer; no servers in between, including ProtonMail's, have the key to decrypt it. Attachments and subject lines are not encrypted right now but will be in the future. You can tell if an incoming email is end-to-end encrypted by whether there is a purple lock next to it:

If you don't have friends on ProtonMail yet to benefit from end-to-end encryption, ProtonMail still provides extra security and privacy. For all non-end-to-end encrypted emails, the message bodies are still stored encrypted so that only you, with the correct mailbox password, can decrypt them."

Fools, encrypted emails will do nothing when they are mapping your future through your online and in life habits. Collate the meta-data online with someones in life habits (tracking/recording on smartphone) and you have a real life person of interest, before you know it they will be swooping on potential extremists, whether that be your online activist or your vulnerable Muslim. Police state gon getcha.

I have a way of communicating without the authorities listening in or reading in.. It is called

CONVERSATION

If you plan things that can't bear the light of day the ONLY failsafe way to communicate about this is in person.

Not over the wire, not over the air.

Or, risking to sound old fashioned.. write a fucking letter? Most modern day democracies have better protection for your privacy in written mail than on the electronic highway or communication via air-waves.

In my country, the privacy of your mail is even documented in the constitution and this protective status of your mail is kept in way higher regard than that of your internet activities. Judges will almost never give permission to go through someone's mail.

I must say thanks for showing me this, i have been looking a litle for somehing like this since Tormail was compromized.

That's not what it is at all..

For me, all my emails are private messages..

Do you not agree that its unethical to view my private and personal messages?? there are other ways to counter illegal things..
