VPN Question

Let me start with saying that I am not sure if this is the right area to post this, but i'm sure I will be corrected in the reply's, but still had to be addressed.

Yesterday me and a friend wanted to pick up where we left off in altis life, we dropped it around March I think, he joined and connected fine leaving me with a message I had not seen before.

The kick message stated that I was kicked due to using a VPN, I am aware of them and aware of why I was kicked for using one, however, I do not have one, nor do any of the programs I run. I read online that some ISP's run through a VPN, and if that's the case, how would I begin to dispute this?

Thanks

Easiest way to fix this is probably to contact your ISP, and make sure they give you an Ip adress that will not be flagged as a VPN.

If they won't help, you can send an email to management to be exempt from the VPN block, however this is very rarely done. The address is: email@roleplay.co.uk

Not actually sure that in-game exemptions can be done now as i think it's down the battleye's list of IP's they list as VPN's. I could be wrong though.

Thanks for the advice, I will try to contact my ISP and figure it out.

Cheers!

Are you using a form of game streaming service? If so, they'll be flagged as VPNs as the connection to the game server will come from the provider's datacentre rather than your home connection if so.

Edit:
Just looked into your profile and it looks like the IP block previously belonged to Microsoft but was transferred to your ISP. Looks like the status of the IP wasn't updated in the database we use. I've reported the inaccuracy, I'll let you know when I hear back.

Thank you very much for the help, my ISP was of no use.

I hope to return and begin playing once this is all sorted out

Thanks,
