Brief Summary:

PMA Voice

Command Keybinds for all hotkeys

Detailed Suggestion:

Just a couple of things i note that could massively improve the Quality of Life on GTARP. Ive learned a lot from deving FiveM previously so thought id share.

Number one is PMA voice. PMA voice is a massive improvement on mumble-voice. Its higher quality, has less static/cut offs and is integrated into FiveM like mumble-voip and therefore does not need the player to install anything. It also has some great features such as a radio (with togglable effects and static) as well as better optimisation and reliability. Overall, its just a better VOIP system. You could argue, there's nothing wrong with the current VOIP system, and i would agree. However, compared to PMA VOIP its a night and day difference.

Number two is moving all set hot keys that don't require loops over to the command key binds method. Things like the interaction wheel are bound to "special ability". This is easy to move across as it doesn't need distance checks etc to open. Give the player more flexibility on their controls and even get a bit of better performance due to less loops.

Does this suggestion change balance on the server ? Not at all.

Possibly good suggestions but the title comes across as quite condescending.

Don't mean for it to come across condescending. The dev team are doing a great job x

Edited it 🙂

From what I saw on one of the dev's streams the current voip is already a modified version of pma-voice.

I'm pretty sure the devs already know this as it's pretty obvious that key mappings are better performance due to not requiring loops and some things already do use key mappings.

I'm not sure what they are using but my voice in game is not as good as another server i know definitely uses PMA voice. The VOIP seems 2d at times, people are hard to hear, people cut out randomly and everyone sounds the same with little to no directional voice.

It may be the edits that have been made or a different version.

Ive tried to clear cache etc as it thought it might be an issue my side by nothing changed.

I know they use key mappings for some things but my suggestion is to move it across for everything that could use it. My suggestion says "moving all set hot keys that don't require loops". There's a lot of keys are aren't in the key binds menu.

The point about better performance is not a dig at the devs knowledge or ability, its a "positive" that i'd though id highlight as the suggestion template recommends to do.

I surprisingly haven't had many issues with VOIP (and the issues I had were fixed after relogging). I guess the devs could try and update to the newer version of pma-voice that no longer uses grids (if they haven't already) to see if it works better than the current.

I haven't experienced this myself, I always hear people from where they are positioned so I can't really comment on that.
