VDM's & RDM's to police officers.

OK, so I've not been a copper for long, I'm still learning the ropes but it does seem like a uniform is an excuse for people to just VDM and / or RDM. 

What is protocol for this? I mean I don't want to be getting people banned and painting a big old target on my back but these people should either learn to RP or go play COD... 

I record pretty much EVERYTHING, so the report a player section could be awash with complaints right now but I just want to make sure that this is the right thing to do.

I don't want to come across all butthurt and I don't want to be the one who reports everything but life was easier as a civ / rebel. It's impossible to RP when dickheads like Cpt Cuddles (Yeah, I will name him) shoot you in the back without calling it. I was alone and talking to a bunch of civs at the garage in Athira.

try to send them a text ingame and explain what they're doing is bannable, if no reply or they say something stupid, report it.

You must report them. It sets an example to other players and prevents them doing it again tomorrow, the next day and the day after that.

I don't like reporting people, but some people have such a flagrant disregard for the rules that they cannot be reasoned with.

I will do in future. For now, I think I'll report the numpties when I get time. There is a real disregard for roleplaying sometimes and guys like that deserve an arse kicking.
