Unrestrained for excessive restrainment.

Hey guys,

I was involved in a situation earlier in which I was restrained because I was left in the same location for a while (I think it's 12 minutes) I was then released from the cuffs because of the restraint timer, I proceeded to shoot and kill, is this considered exploiting or am I allowed to do what I want once this happens?

Wouldn't like to get reported for such things if this happens again so confirmation would be nice..

I think you forget to mention that the reason why you were there for 12 minutes is because you said "unrestrain me now or get killed" in NPAS HQ and there was an active firefight. What you did was exploiting and against the rules.

@CI Levi  I'd agree if handcuffs were infallible in the real world...

thing is, they aren't.  There are plenty of ways people can regain the use of their hands after being handcuffed (it is actually unrealistic for people to not be able to move just because their hands are cuffed, but this is a game and all...)

Now if he performed a certain set of keystrokes to glitch out of the cuffs on purpose, then I can see that being an exploit.

Somewhat related:  I've heard people say NPAS HQ Is not actually a blue zone.. this true?

thing is, they aren't.  There are plenty of ways people can regain the use of their hands after being handcuffed (it is actually unrealistic for people to not be able to move just because their hands are cuffed, but this is a game and all...)

Police Stations = The police stations are police spawn points therefore are marked in blue, Any killing here will result in a ban.

We can spawn and gear up at NPAS HQ, and the name is marked blue.


At this point it is not  a Safe zone, everything will be cleared up in the future.  But the restraints... RP or not normally that should not happen.

This is a toughie, due to it not being in the rules (restrain timer) I don't think it should be a bannable offence, when times runs up you are now free to move and do as you wish, obviously this can be rectified by adding a line to the rules stating that if this is to happen whilst you are being arrested, and there is an active firefight including the officers than you are to stay where you are until either the area is cleared of officers and rebels/civilians rescue you, or the officers return and re-restrain you.

At the end of the day if the police are wasting 15 minutes of your day watching paint dry then I wouldn't say. Plus its their doing by not removing your weapons

But if i was in that situation I would of just run into the sunset.

I would say you could put it down to getting out of the cuffs. Therefore you can do what you like. The cops were obviously distracted by something else and you were able to become free and exact your revenge!

I understand why you may think that this is classed as exploiting but it is part of the server that this has been added. He is not abusing any game mechanics in my opinion. Why did he not have someone watching him? Most people who are restrained would try to get out of them if they have nobody watching him. (all my opinion)

Don't think this should be classed an exploit. IRL you could get your arms infront of you and shoot/walk. However, admins say it is.

What I'm saying is, I don't think it is exploiting because it is a feature that has purposefully been added to the server.
