Unlocking but closing all doors to your house

So i've noticed quite a few houses (especially around the drug dealer) that have crates in them all have the doors unlocked but closed so that when someone tries to break in they cant because the doors are open and the crates are inaccessible and the T menu inventory can't be got at essentially making the contents of the house safe and secure

Would this be considered an exploit of game mechanics? as it seems rather dirty

If players are doing this purposely to avoid being robbed, then definitely an exploit in my opinion.

Do what I did...

Call a police officer, give him a nice RP story and convince him its your house.
Get him to close the doors, then after he leaves rob it... mmmmm 53 gold bars.

Wasn't intentional for me to leave the door open but that was my damn house.

Was a good few months ago, lol.
