So I've been banned for a year and have been told I will never be unbanned, this is because I compared wilco to a vile political figure. I also made a joke about a photoshopped picture of vladic ka (I never made the picture but I made a little joke about it). So I've been banned forever, my question is how is it balanced to allow people who have used racist words to be unbanned but if I make a joke about an admin that's a complete Nono, seems unfair, don't get me wrong what I said was stupid, immature and just wrong but racists deserve another chance but I dont?

1 question are you friends with wilco and Vladic ka to compare them to political figures or even make jokes about them on a public forum. Once you've thought about that, then take a look at this.

I may be wrong, but i dont think i've ever seen anyone who uses racist language in the game be unbanned.

Do you have any appeals where someone who was racist in-game appeal successfully? I know @FriendlyFireGuydoesn't tolerate any abuse.

You're misreading me mate, I'm not saying I wasn't wrong I deserve to be banned but forever?

I've seen un ban appeals accepted for people who have said it in sidechat or in direct

Can you link them as an example? I'm willing to be proved wrong but i know it's taken very seriously.

That said, you think it's unfair about how you've been treated, but at the end of the day, it's up to the staff's discretion about who they allow to play on their servers. There's no 'entitlement' to be unbanned just because you're sorry about what you did and said.

Imagine someone came to your house and started giving you a tirade of abuse, you tell them to hit the road and shut the door in their face since you don't put up with that kind of nonsense. They keep knocking the door and ringing the bell saying it's unfair you wont talk to them. You've already told them they're not welcome on your doorstep but they think it's unfair you wont open the door to them. Why bother giving them the time of day again after you've already told them to go after hearing the nasty things they said.

Management put a hell of a lot of effort into keeping this place running so we can have fun, so when people like yourself come along and pelt abuse at them it is inevitable that you won't be coming back. As for racism being unbanned... as far as I know that doesn't happen, and if it does happen, it definitely shouldn't.

I fully take that on board mate honestly but it wasn't a load of abuse it was two primary school jokes nothing more and I'll personally link you one when I'm outve school don't want to publically out someone else's ban on a discussion

Again mate I take that on board but I never 'pelted' any abuse I made two jokes, one of which there isn't even any proof of but I told the truth. I have no issue with any admin or anyone in the community I just had a humour that didn't mix with the community but that was a year ago, imo give me a chance 

 
Well there is a little thing of "engage your brain before you speak." If you liked this community and enjoyed playing on it, then why would you say something like this? It makes no sense, and we don't want members who are going to be toxic and 'slate' our staff who come on here in there free time to keep the community clean and support it, they are here because they want to be and they should not be subject to this abuse. Management have a lot to do, and receive a lot of abuse from people, and it shouldn't happen. 

Now people who are racist, shouldn't be unbanned, but sometimes there are mitigating circumstances as to why they are unbanned, I am not going to go into detail, but 99% of all the racist and toxic people that are banned, don't get unbanned.

So, hopefully this can be a life lesson for you, don't be toxic offensive to the people that are providing you with a service, management are here to help run and keep the community going and without them, we wouldn't be here and if you are going to be offensive, then you shouldn't be here, simple as that!

It is no-one elses fault, but your own and as @WhoisDanyou cant expect to be unbanned and welcomed back to the community if you are going to abuse our team that we have here, it is not acceptable. So, I do wish the best in the future, but you are not going to be welcome here again. 

 
It's just unfair mate, maybe admins should in fact be able to take an apology instead of holding a grudge for a whole year! It's not a good system and I think it draws more abuse because almost like an immense power drive but it's all in opinion

To confirm this - Abuse / Racism will be perm banned and never open to appeal. As far as I'm aware, no one has ever been unbanned for racism - I've been around since 2014.

As I've mentioned, we are zero tolerance for ANY abuse - Michael - you are now an example of this I'm afraid.
