Reason given for your ban: (G2.3) Forum Report - Roleplay Everything

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was banned from RPUK as I broke character multiple times speaking out of character and bringing outside issues into rolepaly and did not roleplay my death properly, talking to players as if I wasn't injure.

Why should we unban you ?: I have had two month cooldown to reflect on my actions and have made changes.

I feel i should be unbanned as i made a mistake and i learnt from it, i broke the same rule two times on each rule break which was outright stupid of me, the first time i received a warning from staff and i guess i didn't take their advice onboard, i then went on to make the same mistake which showed me i should have taken the advice from staff and improved my roleplay.

Not acting on my injuries there is no excuse for and I will 100% put more effort into this as I know the rule G4.4 is there to ensure the roleplay is enjoyable for both sides to have some good RP and it should be high quality also. I provided poor RP and I 100% learnt from this.

I also broke on a few occasions rule G2.3 which is to roleplay everything and not break character, this rule is in place to ensure the RP is immersive for all sides and to make it more realistic and enjoyable, by me breaking character i ruined that aspect for people within RP. I received a warning the first time, the 3rd time I was banned for two days as staff pulled me, but the 2nd time It was a report of a player.

I learnt from the 3rd time and took time to reflect, i came back from the 2 day ban for the 3rd time and expected this permanent ban to be a result of the 2nd time. On this last 2 day ban I took the time to re-read all the rules and get a better understanding of RPUK. This is my first permanent ban and I can truly say I have learnt my lesson and want to bring the best RP I possibly can to RPUK. My poor standard of RP ruined a few scenes and after taking time to reflect I would do future RP a lot differently, we are here to play our characters and if I reversed the roles I myself would be very disappointed also.

If I get myself into an RP Situation like this in the future I will Act out my injuries, and I will not talk OOC in the city. I have received some advice from staff which will help me in future scenes and ill treat RPUK like it's real and I'll use my common sense in new scenes.

I fully understand why I was banned and really hoping for a second chance, a lot of exciting RP lies ahead of Ross, he has just joined a gang FE-13 and is looking forward to his new role and a whole new aspect to RP. This will allow me to excel within RPUK and have a whole different view to roleplay.

I'd really like to also reflect that on 23/01 when I was unbanned from my 2 day ban I really put in to play my improvements and I hope to continue these changes if I am successful in my appeal.

Can you see the pattern? I do, you were notably clean from September 2022 up until the start of 2023. As your character "Kade Morgan" last played in November 2022. "James Lando" was then created 25/10/2022 with the following connections:

  • 25/11/2022
  • 09/01/2023



So, overall you have played the server somewhat consecutively since joining on September but only since the 2023 has there been a pattern of you going downhill breaking the most common rule breaks and they're not even one offs.

What happened?

 
Personally I got too comfy and just let myself slip in relation to the rules. I had a few personal issues happen which then lead to me becoming more hot headed and not of clear mindset. However over the last two months I have spent time reflecting on this and making changes IRL in order to prevent any further slip ups. There's not really any excuse for breaking rules what I did was wrong and Ive learnt from those mistakes.

If a situation was to arise similar to the one that led to your ban, talk me through what you would do differently this time around

If you are someone who tends to get angry when something doesnt go your way, how do we know this wont affect your roleplay in future?

 
So although some methods are IRL and personal Im happy to share to show the changes ive made. As the staff team are aware I was very hot headed and angry. I have had further support with this and learnt methods of controlling my anger. If these situations would come up again first of all in regards to the rule break of OOC ect I would act my injuries further and if there was any rule break call for staff and then stay in character untill they arrive. With relation to my anger would be to finish the scene and then take myself away from the people there so no further issues can arise if there are I will call for admin.

Usually, staff are too busy to jump to situations on the spot and even if we can, most of the time the rulebreak has already happened and we can not do much. How will you go about it if staff does not arrive and interrupts the scenario, which is most likely?

Furthermore, quote me the rule you broke and explain why it is in place and what would happen if it was not. 

 
Sorry for the late reply I never received the notification. The rule I broke which lead to the perm ban was G2.3 Roleplay everything. This rule is in place because one the server is a full roleplay server and two if people were to break character it may ruin the experience for others. If this rule was not there it wouldnt be classed a fully serious role play server and could lead to other rule breaks being made. People come into this server for some good roleplay and to possibly make content and I have reflected on my actions and therefore know I would not want to ruin the experience for others. 

In relation to the question on if staff cant reply I would finish the scene and then once finished leave the area and post a player report on the forums or speak with the person first of all out of RP in discord to resolve the matter.

You dont exactly have the cleanest record as Liam has stated above. I am sensing a pattern of someone who does not care much for the rules on the server.

Breaching G2.3 is one of the most simple rules to follow, remaining in character. It is in place to make the experience immersive and enjoyable for everyone on the server.

Tell me WHY we should give you another chance on the server.

Talk me through a roleplay scenario that you have provided that was high quality and enjoyable for both sides.

 
Just close this not fighting to be on a server thats going no where. Will take the perm
