Why do you think you were banned: Hi, I was banned due to an accusation of metagaming. What happened was me and a few other lads from my gang were down city hall with not much to do, whilst our friend Wayne went to Mara turf to speak to somebody there. When he got there he was talking on radio to us and just relaying some info about who was there and said something along the lines of ''Theres just some baldy's here dancing to some music'' I cant fully rememeber to be honest. This was about 10 or so minutes to 2pm storm. A min or so later we asked if he was good over radio but he didnt reply so 3-4 of us drove over to check if he was okay, when we got there we couldnt see him and we asked a mara hangaround to which she said she didnt know if he was there or who he was. With it being so close to storm we then decided to go and park our cars so we didnt have to collect them from the impound and on the way there i said ''Hes all good all good'' or something like that i cant fully remember. As staff said in my previous appeal i sounded very confident that he was fine but in my defence i would have no reason to think anything would have happened to him. To add to it, i have previously been granted a higher rank in the gang im part of and ive been asked to take charge when the leaders arent around, so i decided to say he was all good. As long as ive known Wayne nothings ever happened to him, and if anything even slightly sketchy was going to happen i know for a fact he would immediately comm it back to us. I also tried calling him to which his phone said Unavailable and to the best of my knowledge that means hes flew out or headpopped. I was then pulled by Drex to him telling me i knew he was okay because i ''messaged him on discord'', which simply wasnt true at all. I apologise for appealing it straight away, but as i knew i havent done anything wrong i simply wanted to defend myself. I apologise to Drex and the other staff that have to deal with the reports as i know it can be draining. Thank you for reading.
Why should we unban you: I believe i should be unbanned because i wholeheartly know that im telling the truth in this situation. I can understand why it would be percieved that i did but i just assumed and decided that was the decision i was going with and now ive been banned for it. Because it was so close to storm (1.55pm) i thought one way or another were going to find out. I understand how detremental metagaming is to the server and RP as a whole, and i can assure you i never metagamed in this situation. Metagaming creates an unfair advantage in situations and completely ruins the experience for everybody on the server. Ive never had anything of this nature against my name before, and i can only assure you it never happened, and would never happen. If i did something wrong, id happily apologise for it.

I like to believe people who encounter me in the city have enjoyable experiences with me.

Since my last ban (which is completely unrelated to anything like this) I have given and recieved so many great RP experiences and built my characters story to where he is now. It would be a shame for me to lose all of the friendships ive created in the city based on an assumption ive made minutes before storm. Since ive been banned ive re-read through all the rules again to familiarise myself with them and i can only assure you i never broken any of them.

Now something isn't sitting right with me on your story, "in my defence i would have no reason to think anything would have happened to him" You would have no reason to think something happened to him but yet was concerned enough to go to the last known place he was and ask around about him? After the rest of your group that came with you left the mara member you didn't move at all for a little bit of time, the moment you came back you start driving away saying "he's good" about 7 times, when someone in your gang asks something in response you say "yeah yeah, he's fine, hes fine". All VERY confidently. So how did it go from being concerned enough about his wellbeing to go to another gangs turf to suddenly being okay and having no issues? All seems a little too convenient, don't you think?

I completely understand where you're coming from and how that would be perceived, but yes, id have no reason to think something would happen to him at all, because nothing ever happens to him. "In my defence I would have no reason to think anything would have happened to him" What I am refering to here is that I attempted to call wayne before arriving at mara which I thought back to when I was at mara and believed that he had flown out as his phone was unavailable. But yes, it probably does come across as convenient in the tone I was speaking, as I was recently given a position in my gang as a higher up, so I was attempting to take control of the situation by saying he was fine.

I did have discord on another monitor and no messages, calls or chat were ever exchanged with anybody. I did see Wayne didnt have ''playing RPUK'' or what not by his discord name so that's probably where my thought process was, and that reflected in my RP. At that time I didn't realise how that would affect my rp, and since my ban I understand why that would be classed as metagaming and why that's unacceptable. That is why I was shocked when I was pulled by Drex in the first place. The person we went looking for was also confused by the ban too, because he also knew I never done it. In the time that ive had since ive been banned, ive had time to reflect, why it wouldn be classed as a rulebreak and I understand the way that the whole situation came across and it wouldn't be something id do again.

Even this small thing would class as metagaming, it was OOC info that then influenced some RP. Small in scale but still influenced your choice in saying "he's all good"

What would you do differently if you were in a similar situation again?

Thank you for your swift reply, its really appreciated.

After spending time away from the server, ive had time to reflect on my actions and it wouldn't be something I would ever even consider doing again. I fully understand how detrimental metagaming is to the server, and to roleplaying in general. If I was in that situation again, I wouldn't bother acknowledging any ooc information that would interfere with the roleplay we were having. I now realise how me seeing he was no longer in the server ruined the situation. I apologise to you and the other staff members that have to deal with these appeals, as I know they can probably be incredibly draining having to go through them. I can assure you if I was given a chance back in the city, you wouldn't see me back in this part of the forums again.

Hi Jessie,

To be completely honest, id like to continue where I left off with my gang. I worked hard to build up relationships with people in the gang, and when I left I felt like the gang I was part of was steadily building. As I previously said, I recently got promoted, so id like to see where I can go with it, and see what sort of RP we can have with other people/gangs. When I was banned, I remembered that the bin jobs were dominating the money making aspect of the city, and gang rp (selling drugs, taxing people etc) was basically dead in the water, so id like to try and get that started up again!

Like I said above I appreciate you taking the responsibility in this and the honesty in this. From this and the situation I am happy to give you a second chance on the server. Do think of this as a learning experience and do not give me a reason to regret giving you this second chance. Read over the rules again before joining back.

Any bans you receive within the next 6 months will bring you back here.
