Reason given for your ban: G3.1 Using OOC Information

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was banned for logging onto the server when i knew a situation happened about 10 minutes prior leading me to be banned

Why should we unban you ?: I do not believe I should be banned as I broke no rules I logged on and sold coke nothing else, I would completely understand this ban if I sat on my turf with a gun in cover waiting for someone but I was sat there selling coke with a crowbar on me. Knowing that someone got took OOC did not encourage me to log on since I was already going to log on either way. The situation involving Omizz lasted 55 minutes according to the people who reported us, am I not allowed to log on for that duration? nobody understands this Hop on squad rule and I believe there needs to be more context surrounding it.

The only reason I even interacted with AJ and the other grove member was because they came to turf and stuck up my gang member like I already stated I did not use any information OOC otherwise I would've been prepared for them.

I can understand from a staff members POV why i've been banned but to me i feel like I've done nothing wrong thats why i've been 100% honest in this appeal

The clip was originally uploaded by AJ one of the grove members but he deleted it from youtube but I downloaded the clip cause incase he deleted it so I just re-uploaded it onto youtube and added it into the appeal. I would've removed the deleted clip but when I go to delete the clip it wont allow me.

Here's where the issue lies, you were watching Omizz's stream, you heard that Grove were going to come for him and then we see you log onto the server.
I don't blame you for wanting to be a part of an RP situation but you have to understand that if you're watching a stream it is best to leave it for the people who are already on the server and not get involved. I am afraid this type of behavior paints you as the ''win hungry'' type, there is no doubt that you were aware OOC of what was happening and logged on as a result of it, saying that you would probably have logged on anyways doesn't help your case.

So, How do you think this type of behavior looks from the other parties perspective? how might it affect their RP? Do you take this into consideration when roleplaying?
 

And ive got some advice for you, Shift your perspective from ''i didnt break a rule'' to ''how can i redeem myself'' and you will have much more understanding from staff.

I dont understand this to be honest how would I know grove are going for omizz? from my perspective I watch omizz's stream he was just chilling on mara turf then around 2 minutes later he gets put into zipties and kidnapped now I would completely understand this ban if I had logged on instantly and decided to drive around looking for the grove but I didnt log on for a good amount of time and wasnt aware if the situation was still ongoing or not, And I keep on saying this but I was literally just selling making money at the time of me logging on turf was empty I believe I didn't try and comminucate in the groupchat I didn't try and phone anyone I went to my house got some cocaine and began selling I dont know how long I was selling for but I believe it was around 10-15 minutes before the grove came to turf. I genuinely had no idea they were going to return to turf.

I completely understand this cause obviously logging on to be apart of a situaition is a breach of the metagaming rule but the thing is I wasnt even involved in the omizz situation.

When you say "Win hungry" I dont understand that either as if I logged on to "win" the situation why wouldn't I have been prepared for example having a gun on me, being on a roof with a gun on me etc, I didn't go looking for the people who kidnapped omizz once the only reason I interacted with them is because they came to turf and attempted to rob/kidnap one of us which is a different situation from omizz being kidnapped is it not?

So, How do you think this type of behavior looks from the other parties perspective? how might it affect their RP? Do you take this into consideration when roleplaying?
 

From the other parties perspective I can see that it might have been shitty for them but if I had logged on half an hour to an hour later, what difference would it have made if they decided to show up? I was selling drugs and they decided to show up at MY turf and attempt to rob us.

@Devon Hendrixim not going to tell you what evidence we have, but trust me when i say that there was extensive research and investigation done on the reports and your ban.
Im glad that you can agree on some of my points, so, are you going to tell me how the rules work? or are you going to take accountability here and stop trying to wiggle yourself out?

I'll do both. Firstly, the metagaming rule is in place to stop people from using information they dont have in character to gain an advantage in roleplay.

Secondly, I admit it was stupid from me to log on knowing there was an ongoing situation and i could have waited longer than I did to log on but I honestly didn't log on to win or to get involved in the situation I was just a bit unlucky but after talking to some people and reading the replies I can confidently say Im a lot more educated on the metagaming rules than I was before this

If I watched a stream and knew there was an ongoing situation I would completely avoid logging on to ensure I dont effect any rp, when the situation is over I wont log on straight away to guarantee I wont be involved waiting around 5-10 minutes before logging on.

Okay, since this is your first permanent ban we'll give you another chance. 
Watching a stream when your not intending to log on to the server (or even worse, when you are already on the server) is a risk not worth taking, you might not have any intention to Meta-game but you won't be able to stop yourself from subconsciously letting information slip, pleading your case is next to impossible in these type of rulebreaks. I hope this appeal has been educational to you and that you can advise others so that they don't land in the seat you found yourself in.
