In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: i was banned for inappropriately using a racial slur. this happened in the hospital last week. i roleplay as a black English man, however after reflecting on my mistake i understand that using that word was totally unacceptable. within real life i am a grown black man but this still gives me no excuse and like i stated upon reflecting and going over the RPUK server rules i understand using this word should have definitely got me banned i think the admins did a fair job although initially i didn't really see much harm i said the word to my friend in a non discriminating way. He didn't get offended or hurt by my use of the slur i understand with the admins hearing it would speak to me about my error because realistically they have to protect people in this server and it needs to be a friendly environment for everyone and that we love RP. in addition to this i have never before broken a rule within any RP server and i think and i would love to be able to show great RP skills in this server again i must say this ban has made me realise just how much i enjoy this server. making errors and mistakes are important because we learn and make ourselves better but obviously i understand that a word like this cannot be use and shouldn't not be used. i have made fond memories in this server and made great friends. i would absolutely love fore this to continue because i am really missing RP.

Why should we unban you ?: i believe as a person we all make mistake mine being a bad one but i will learn. I've gone back over the server rules and 100% agree that i cannot and will not use this word again on this server. however i didn't put anybody through a bad RP'ing experience i feel like as bad as the rule i broke was it had no impact on the other person involved. i feel like if i broke a rule that had hurt someones experience i could have been worst because everyone wants a good RP experience. in addition to this, i totally understand the ban and of coarse what i said was incredibly wrong but i believe with perhaps another chance i can prove to the whole of the RPUK server i can bring an enjoyable and fun experience to other people in our server. another thing i would like to add the fact that obviously within RP you can not determine what someones ethnicity is in real life so i know the ban was justified and i can fully understand this rule just like all the others and i really love how serious this server is taken that why its one of the best. i really hope i can be back in the server i would never want to go down this route again. thank you very much for your time i hope we meet again.

So... When spoken to by staff, you did not seem to quite understand why you would be banned for racism, considering "you are black yourself" and that would make it different... elaborate please...

at the time i didnt understand the rules to do with this language but now i understand this is not tolerated. of coarse i wouldnt ever say this word in an offensive way. before i had briefly read over the rules and been in other citys so i had a rough understanding but of coarse before joining the server i should have read over the rules in full so this is no excuse. at the time of the ban i was unaware of this rule so i wasnt understanding the reason for my ban. after being banned and reading over the rules in detail this time, i now understand exacly why this wouldnt be acceptible in the city and appoligise to the staff member for being stubborn about it

I broke the C1.2 discrimination rule and that was because i used a racist word. This rule is in place because its very important to keep the player in the server and community safe. You also state in the rules, that you expect people to show respect and to treat people how you expect to be treat and you want make this server a place were people are welcomed and can enjoy there time. obviously discrimination can make the player have a terrible experience and could also effect the mental side of things. although i did not intentionally use the word in an discriminating way, i understand fully now that this word cannot be use and is completely unexceptable. i would once again like to apoligise to the admin that i had a misunderstanding with. once again i would like to reiterate that i did not mean to say this word in a discriminating way this is still no excuse and still fully understand the staff member reason for the ban. thanks for your time.

Thank you for understanding, and I appreciate that people in real life have the right to choose what ever words they want to use. But they also have to deal with the consequences of their actions too. In this community, it is simply a banned word, and while some may not find it offensive, others find it devastating. The simplest solution is to just ban it. 

Moving forward, please refrain from its use.
