Reason given for your ban: C2.3

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was banned because I stupidly quit the game while I was downed, it was around 10am I was driving my bike and cut across the canal going towards the casino. I was going too fast and went right into a wall and died. I waited around 10mins and as it was so early in the morning without thinking I just closed off the game therefore combat logging which at the time I never even had a thought about that in my head. I should've just waited and killed myself off, when i returned to the game I got help by a random person as i shouted them down to help me and then carried on with normal play, which i now alsao know and realise that it was a bad thing to do as i basically doubled down on the combat logging.

Why should we unban you ?: I want you to think about unbanning me because I've gave a lot to the server, I've had many different roles like G6, Callaghan's, Park rangers ect which I all love to death. I'm maybe not in the server a lot but when I am, I'm always trying to make fun RP and never has something like combat logging came into my mind as I know its not good and not fair on the other players. I've had a miss laps of judgment and I fully regret just jumping off when I didn't need to like that , it was stupid and I've done wrong and ill fully admit it.

I really hope I have a good chance of getting back in, the server means a lot to me and its somewhere I can escape to and have fun with my friends and my do my roles in G6 and callaghan. Callaghans have just taken me on to help with the Pawn shop which I've been so happy about and in G6 I've been working hard pushed up the ranks. I dont want this mistake to be a reason that I cant hang out with my friends and other amaxing RPrs. The month off from the server feels long enough and i want to get the chance to proove that ive learned from it and it will definitly not happen again.

As a closing statement I'm just going to say, I'm Sorry and I really hope you can see what this server is to me. If I get given a chance I promise ill not let you or other members of the server down.

I do appreciate the effort you've put into this appeal, although I have a couple of questions for you.

Should you come across a situation like this again, what are the steps you would take?

Is this the only time you've combat logged on the server?

If I was in this situation again I would just wait the extra time that was left and respawned, I had nothing of value on my person so there was simply no need to jump off and end up putting myself in this situation, even if I did have items on me its still not right or justified doing it.
If I needed to rush off for say then I would message in OOC and try get in contact with staff. 
With the situation of me coming back onto the server I will again wait the time and respawn to make sure I haven’t benefited as like I said in the appeal it’s not fair on other members 

I do not think I have ever done this before, most of the time when I play there is always medics around and I try get help when I am down

This just isn't true. I'd expect better from someone whom has been here for a year and in Gruppe6, Police and The Callaghans...

im sorry if you think I’m lying, this is why I said I do not think I’ve done it before. I have no reason to lie at all and I understand where lying leaves you when you’re trying to get unbanned, I respect staff massively and wouldn’t want to come across like I’m trying to wiggle myself out of this situation.
 

Since you’re saying this is true I’m happy see when and what happened before and pray it jogs my memory, and I can only apologise for this in the time being 

 
Surely you'd remember X times you've disconnected whilst downed, or do you not care for this rule?

Going off of memory, I can still remember when I have disconnected whilst downed even with Staff Permission before I was a Staff Member and this is dating back to 2021-2022

 
I definitely care for the rules, they’re there for a reason. I’ve obviously just not understood combat logging as well as I should have. 
 

in the past I think I’ve disconnected when I’ve been in hospital at the check in desk leaving myself there so when I wake up the next day I’m ready to check in, I’ve obviously thought that’s fine not fully realising that this is still combat logging. 
 

I’ve truthfully never left the server to gain any advantage or trying to save items in my pockets, I’ve never been shot and left, being chased by police or in a serious roll-playing situation and disconnected for the sake of being angry or anything like that.
 

As I said I can only apologise for my previous actions, the month out the server has been a massive wake up call on the way I acted in that situation. 

 
I've counted at least 3 times where you have been downed and disconnected within 7 minutes of that death, not at Pillbox though. What is the reasoning for this? Some of the death teams range from 9am - 00.30

 
In all honesty I've been thinking about it the last couple days and I'm really struggling to think when I've done this before. I can say I've not left the server due to any other reason other than (and I know now its wrong either way), needing to rush off and I've died, its been early/ late and I thought it wasn't a big deal to just get help when I came back on. As much as it may look bad me saying I've always understood combat logging as when you're in a proper RP situation and you've decided to quit to get out of it or you've been killed and just went off in rage. Until the ban I just never realised than what I did was combat also. This is also not an excuse, its my responsibly to understand the rules fully  

 
An inventory wipe has been completed on both characters that broke C2.3.

You say that you think that it wasn't a big deal to log back in the next day and get help but let me just run you through some stuff.

  • You should've died if no medics or help came that night | You stopped this by logging back on the next day, and getting saved


    Why give yourself an advantage over others, which breaks C2.3?

[*]The NHS could've been on their way to you, but you've disconnected and they've turned up to no-one there


  • Do you care about others, or just yourself?

[*]By disconnecting, you've reset the death timer.


  • You could've had 10 minutes left till a forced respawn, but logging back in the next day and its reset to 1 hour


 
You are absolutely right and I take full responsibility for my actions, I really enjoy the server and love the people in the city. 
I do care for others in the server but I’ve not shown it in these situations at all, it’s not fair to others .

At minimum it’s only about 15 minutes I need to wait to respawn it’s not a long time so I should just be taking this if there is no one around to help as it’s the right thing to do. 

if I do get unbanned it will not happen again, I am fully aware on what effect it can have other people in the city especially NHS

 
I said previously I really can’t remember. I’ve had a good think about it and still can’t. This is 100% the truth, if I fully knew I would be saying as it give me a better chance of coming back 
 

Liam said there has been about 3 occasions and they weren’t in a hospital. The one situations I can remember are that I died up north, got taken to the hospital and I logged off as it was late and would check in the next day. 
 

Another situation in pillbox was something happened when I was in the bed so made it look like I was in the bed getting help but I wasn’t. Tried asking in ooc, tried shouting for someone. Waited a while and went off due to what was happened. 
 

both these situations were wrong and I fully understand this now. I should’ve just checked in and I could’ve done a lot more to get help with the bed situation.

I expect better from someone like you who has played the server alot and should be familiar with the rules.

Any bans within the next 6 months will lead you back to a permanent ban...
