Reason given for your ban: G3.1

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was banned due too logging on during a ongoing situation that ooc i did not know was occurring.

Why should we unban you ?: Prior to logging onto the server myself and others were playing a different game together and decided we'd log on to rp together to go and make money etc. Unexpectedly shortly after one of my friends logged on he was engaged in combat seeming as if we had done a (hop on squad). This was completely false due to me saying on radio as I log on "im going to do some taxi work". Shortly after I say this one of my friends who had just been in combat tells me to help him so I proceed too. It was not my intention to log onto an ongoing situation in my eyes I was helping a close friend in rp, so im not going to stand there and let people who shot my gang member get away with it. I wish the staff that dealt with the report could've tried too ask for my side of the story and not straight up banning me giving me no say before they did so.

I fully understand how bad this looks as im a few months into the no fbs and Im fully understanding of why I was dealt with in this manner. Recently there has been an upcoming of people such as myself that log onto a "Game" too have fun but get penalised for logging on during a situation that they did not know was ongoing. Me personally I would like to get unbanned as I try my best too rp the best I can. Being under a no fbs system I have been putting thought into my actions fully knowing that id be permanently banned if I break a single rule. So knowing so I have been strict with myself by not breaking any rules that would stop me from playing or ruining someone else's experience etc. I believe that I should be unbanned because I did not break a rule.

So,

When the situation occurred, it was only Omizz on the server. In Omizz's clip you can hear a 'Stream Start' sound. Two minutes later, You log onto the server at Fudge Lane. In Omizz clip, he speaks on radio about the situation and not once is there any reply before and or after the situation.

Do you have footage from your side?

Me Rob and Omizz were playing Dev server Before logging on to rp. Just before Omizz had logged on I went to get food, I then came back logged on to taxi and 229 were in the shop. It was really not my intention to make it look like I metagamed and that's my bad. The stream that was put up was someone else's stream that went up because many people that weren't on the server were playing games together etc. I do not have footage unfortunately. 

When I had logged on I put my gun away and said on radio I'm gonna go taxi but didn't think to clip because there was nothing wrong with the situation on my end. Maybe it could've been resolved in a liaison. After saying im a go taxi I'm met with a reply on radio from Omizz saying "There is multiple 229 dead in the shop" so obviously I'm not going to go taxi instead of helping my boy with a threatening situation.

 
You say that you three were all on the Dev server then decided to log onto RPUK, but don't have footage to back up your claims. You stated that you went to get food before logging on but two of you logged on 3 minutes after Omizz, which some would imply that you both seen his stream then decided to log on and help him out.

So what we have at this moment in time:

  • A Discord Stream from Omizz
  • Three players logged into the server after this stream was started




 
In the whole time of logging on there was not a stream and this was simply just me and my friends logging on to play rpuk. Before logging like I said I went to retrieve food that was ready downstairs to then instantly log on as I got to my pc. I did not log on to help anyone but myself by going to make money by doing taxi as I eat. As im mid war I log on most days to make money and that day was one of them. I did not expect the outcome of me logging on to make money would be. Like I said at the time of me logging on there was no stream and I logged on not knowing what was going on.

fair enough if I logged on went straight to the shop strapped up, but I put it away to go taxi to then retrieve it to help omizz after he told me what's happened ic. I fully understand how it looks but I can assure you I did not metagame.

 
Well this has been proven wrong as another Marabunta member has stated that Omizz started the stream mid gunfight then you logged onto the server.

 
The stream was started after all the 229 were dead so i dont understand what point your making?

 
The point is, you stated there was no stream. This has been proven wrong and there was a stream. It wasn't started after 229 were dead but during it.

 
I do not recall there being any stream during the situation but after all the 229 were dead yes.  I didn't see anyone or hear anyone stream until after the 229 were dead in the shop but I was already in the server before the stream started so I did not tab out to watch or anything as I was engaged in a situation as soon as I logged on. I genuinely did not metagame but with no proof I cannot prove it sadly but honestly I can assure you I did not meta, I logged on to taxi to make money which got me banned which is quite annoying.

I understand how people say don't get involved with a situation as soon as you load in but I didn't think anything was wrong as I did not metagame and thought nothing of it.

How do you know you were already in the server when the stream started?

 
When I was in the server dealing with 229 after they died a stream was started to obviously brag about 1v3'ing 229(a gang with a well known rep for good shooters) Everyone who watched the stream were not in the server at the time but I didn't tab out as I was trying to provide constant good rp with Craig and Banjo as I didn't want to get reported for shit rp or anything because I'm on the fbs cooldown and didn't want to get in a situation where I could potentially get another perma. Like I have mentioned previously I've been constantly making sure I always provide the best rp i can and monitoring my actions making sure not a single rule break from my end occurs.

Glad that part has been resolved. Moving on,

So, 229 start a scenario with Omizz at Mara shop 35 seconds later, he starts a Discord stream. After this, 2 Marabunta log into the server within seconds to a minute and directly involve themselves in what is going down.

The issue that I have, is that Omizz starts talking on the radio after 229 were downed (Which you and Robin were online for) , but there was no communication back. At no point, are you heard over the radio telling everyone that you're going to be doing taxi work. You didn't even spawn near the taxi rank, you spawned at Fudge Lane. So you would've been in radio distance for others to hear.

Do you want to continue going with this story? Whatever you say next, may change the direction of this appeal.

The night before a successful push happened on grove and we had logged off at turf. Once I logged back on the next day I instantly ran to my house and put my gun away. After this I left my house took my colours off and turned my radio on. I proceed to say on radio I'm going to go taxi and almost instantly met with a response from Omizz saying multiple 229 down in the shop. I said I was going to go taxi on the radio but that was not in the clips unfortunately due to them being trimmed by Omizz because we honestly did not expect to be accused of hop on at the time.

I realise now from a staffs/players perspective how this looked. I shouldn't of gotten myself involved with the situation because of the fact that I had just logged on that's my bad. I now understand fully how this can be seen as metagaming but I'm truly being honest that there was none. If I am to be put in this situation again I will make sure I do not associate myself with the ongoing situation in game.

I would like to continue the story as I did not metagame.

 
I don’t believe that you’re being truthful, maybe you think if you stand your ground at the “I didn’t metagame” clause when we have you dead to rights, that you’ll hopefully be unbanned but that won’t happen unfortunately.

I hope you do better in your next appeal…
