Reason given for your ban: C2.3 - Combat logging

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was banned back in June for combat logging, for context, the situation that had made me do this was I took a person to dodgy doctor to hopefully rob them and teach them a lesson as there was some on going beef between my current gang and another gang on the server however once I had revived the person and told them to put there hands up they (in my opinion) NVL'D and stabbed me which then unfortunately my emotions got the better of me so I stupidly decided to combat log which I shouldn't have, what I should have done was role-played out the situation accordingly and then once it had finished I could've either asked the person for a chat via discord or TeamSpeak or opened up a report a player.

Why should we unban you ?: I feel I deserve a second chance as I've been in this amazing community now for over a year and this is my first permanent ban not only this but I have took a bit of a break from the server and with this break I have realised how much I actually miss all the friends I had made and all the fun and immersive role-playing scenarios I used to get myself into. Of course it has also made me realise that combat logging is by no way shape or form tolerated as it shuts down and ends all role-play for the other party which is completely unfair and was a selfish thing for me to do.

Whilst yes this is your first permanent ban you've received in total it's the forth punishment. From looking you was going down a slippery slope and ended with a permanent ban, How can we be sure you wont continue down this path should we give you another chance? 

You mentioned that you let your emotions get the better of you, Does this normally happen? If not what made this situation different than others to let them get the better of you? 
Have you ever combat logged before from situations?

Thank you for the quick response, yes you are correct that I did go on a somewhat of a slippery slope and got a couple of warnings before I got this Permanent ban. I believe you can be sure I wont continue down this path due to the fact as I mentioned I have taken a break from the server due to my rule break and taken this time to reflect on why all of a sudden I was picking up these warnings and why I was banned and I believe it has really helped and refreshed my mind so if I am granted an opportunity to return my state of mind would be fresh.

I'd say I am normally a calm person and I am really good at not letting my emotions get the better of me, but I feel in this situation I let my emotions control me due to (in my opinion) the rule breaking from the other party, however I understand the way I acted and the way I handled it was 100% not acceptable and now know what to do in the future to avoid finding myself in this situation again.

In your main appeal you mentioned that you believed the person did NVL, Did you make a report in relation to this or pop a message in ooc to make us aware of this, If not why ? 

If we do give you another chance and you find yourself in the mist of someone who you believe is breaking a rule, How would you handle this if they did the same thing as what landed you here ?

I didn't make a report on the forums due to the fact that I had no evidence to back up my side of events, but I did however in my memory put a message in the OOC chat. 

If a situation similar to this one ever happens to me in the future, if I am granted the opportunity to return that is, I would simply send the other party a message or ask them to come to TeamSpeak once the role-play scenario has finished of course to try and get the other side of events and then if I feel that it hasn't been resolved I would take things further and open a report to get staffs opinion. 

 
As you can imagine being honest overall is the best policy not only within the community but overall in general. I did ask one question to gage if you was being truthful overall with everything said. I'll quote the part below so we are both on the same page here.

So I did ask yourself if you have ever combat logged in the past. As you can imagine I already knew the answer to this. So far I have found two times you have combat logged whilst in situations. These two happened on June 5th on the same character as you have put on this appeal. Can you explain why this happened?  

 
I can give you a bit more indeed. One of the times from the date I've mentioned you was shot by another player around 1am, The other time I've seen at this moment was around 8am close to life invader.

 
I believe for the 1am one, myself and two other people got into a fight with another group and I was killed then they tried to use a helicopter to try dump me really far out in the ocean but after they crashed the helicopter into the ocean and it hit the bottom of the sea it teleported me still inside the helicopter to the edge of the airport at the end of the runway and it bugged out my game so I left and re-joined to try fix the issue. 

For the 8am one that was close to life invader I have got absolute no idea what happened. 

 
So looking more into this, I've found more than a handful of times with you combat logging prior to this ban. From looking it's when you have a weapon on yourself, So why do you believe it's alright to carry on breaking the rules to avoid losing a weapon?

 
Now that I have had a break and had some time look over my action's that got me banned in the first place, I now understand that it is complete unacceptable and I am 100% in the wrong and to do what I did. it kills the RP situation and kills any further RP from happening. All I can do is apologise and give you my word that it will never happen again if I am given a 2nd chance. 

 
Why did it have to come to a permanent ban for you to realise this? 

 
I don't have a clue what was going though my head and I don't know why I thought it was acceptable, but due to my permanent ban I have taken the almost 3 months and realised I messed up and all I can do is apologise for my actions. if I am ever given the chance to return it would never happen again.

 
I'll hold you to your word and offer another opportunity however it also comes at a price. From looking over this fully one could argue you combat logged to save your items as I mentioned above. So to have the opportunity to return it's only fair that your inventory is removed due to the combat log within the manner it was done. Do you agree with this?

 
No problem! 

As mentioned I've gone ahead and removed your inventory on Miles since this was the character you did combat log on. As mentioned I am willing to give you another chance to prove you are here for the correct reasons based on what you've said within the appeal. I'll also hold you to your word that this wont happen again, So don't let me down with this opportunity. 

It will go without saying, If you do return to the appeals section it won't be as straight forward as it was this time to get another opportunity. When you do log back in on Miles you will still be downed so you will need to carry on with this and either wait for help or the nhs to come to you or simply respawn. I will leave that choice with yourself. Hope you have a wonderful evening!
