Reason given for your ban: Speak to Staff - Open Discord Ticket. Resulted in it being for Racism.

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I said a racist word infront of another person.

Myself and a friend were having an encounter with two other strangers in a petrol station. (The other two guys never knew eachother either I would say)....
I have no excuse for it, I said a single discriminating / racist word in front of the two guys in the heat of the moment. I must stress, I did not call anybody the word i wish not to repeat - i simply said it infront of them but regardless, it was most certainly wrong of me and i am 100% aware this is not acceptable whether or not it is directed at a person. A word like that is not welcome in the community and I sincerely apologise for me using it, believe it or not - its very out of character for me, I dont know why I said it but I know i immediately regretted it.

Why should we unban you ?: I instantly realised I was out of order and I apologised for my poor choice of language in the situation. I approached both players who were still near eachother, I went right up to them and explained I was so sorry for using the racist word. I explained its not like me and that I realise i was in the wrong, continuing to advise I will not use any words like it again. They understood the word wasnt used at them and seemed to accept my apology without hesitation.
Both players did seem shocked I apologised, I guess the sad truth is that some might not have thought they were in the wrong and some use the word to cause upset or be discriminating. I know for a fact I should not have said it hence the sincere apology.

Both players did accept my apology and understood it was a heat of the moment impression that was not 'intended; to cause insult or upset. Again, it was not directed at either of them but was said in their company.

Furthermore, I would like to apologise again to anyone reading this or wasting their Rp time responding to my appeal. I am sorry.

I made a mistake, It is far from my nature - I am all for equality no matter race, skin colour / ethnicity.

For good measure, I have re-read the rules again and will not repeat my poor judgement. Most relevant being C1.2 - Discrimination.




I am sorry. It will never happen again if I am lucky enough to be given a second chance.

When reading this I can tell that you did not mean to speak using such language; however, this suggests that you use this language elsewhere and simply try to not to use the language here, leading to you slipping up and accidently saying it within our community and on our server.

How can we be sure that this won’t happen again? What can you do/change to ensure you don’t use such language here again on purpose or by accident?

We need some reassurances that this was a mistake and that you won’t do it again before we can even think about unbanning you for using such a disgusting and toxic term.

As i stated above, I actually dont use this language elsewhere. It was so unlike me and a real heat of the moment poor choice. I am so sorry I let myself stoop to that low level. Furthermore, to re assure it wont happen again, I have re-read all the rules and im sure just out of the pure embarrassment and shame of having to even submit this appeal - It is more than enough to prevent it from happening again. 

I am sorry again, I can promise it wont happen again. Please forgive me everyone. 

I really hope the community can see how genuine I am and accept my apology for what I did.

You don't use the language elsewhere, and it was a heat of the moment choice?

I mean, I don't randomly call someone a N***a for literally 0 reason. You were in a police outfit, and in a police car albeit not an actual police officer ( Most Likely Sacked ) and you randomly discriminated against two people.

I don't believe for a second that you don't use this language elsewhere, that doesn't just randomly come out.

So, is that the story you'd like to continue with? Have you done this before on our server? Why didn't you tell Staff about this "mistake" when it happened?

If you know all that Liam, you don’t need me to explain I immediately apologised as you’d of seen me do it - so lose the sarcasm. We’re all adults here, don’t speak to me like an idiot. You’re entitled to your opinion but the attitude is just poor to say the least especially from a staff member. 
 

It is a roleplay game, 90% of the things I do, I would never do or will ever in fact do throughout my life. That’s why we play it don’t we? To escape reality / limitations of our life? Just because I made the mistake of saying it in the game does not suggest I say it in real life. 
 

To answer your question, why would I involve admins when I was confident the two people involved were understanding and accepted my apology. The situation was dealt with and everybody moved on. Not to mention the fact it was early hours in the morning as I logged off shortly afterwards for work that morning. I didn’t even know if admins would be online at those hours. 

I feel people need to realise everyone makes mistakes, I’m only human and it is my first and only breach of the rules. I enjoy the serious rp element and always try abide by the rules outlined by yourselves. 

lastly, I answered Lunars post regarding how I have made sure I won’t repeat my offence. I know I was wrong, I know it’s far from welcome in the community and I’d be upset to lose the opportunity to play within the community. It’s the only server I play and far more fun that the alternatives I tried when I got my gaming PC.

You're the one who is banned for calling someone else a discriminatory word, not me. You are here to convince us as to why we should allow you to play here. Your attitude is horrendous, not really someone who is trying to appeal their ban.

You're wrong, I never witnessed it first hand so I didn't see you apologise to anyone.

If you can instantly switch up your attitude in this appeal, almost as quickly as you discriminated against someone, You can appeal in a month, 06/05/2023
