In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was banned for transferring money from other characters

Why should we unban you ?: I understand that this does not excuse or justify the rule break, but later that night I realised this was against the rules and went into teamspeak prepared to give the money up and ask what I should do - I've linked an image to try and show this.

I have enjoyed playing here to past week, I'm new to FiveM and have been playing, metting people, finding ways to make money and trying to find other things to do and get info in game. I've been playing with two friends sometimes (all new to fivem) and we have been enjoying playing.
One of my friends asked for the money on my other characters as he had less than myself and we decided send each other our other character's money - at the time exploiting did not come to mind and I was not aware of the rule. Later that night I was searching for another rule and realised transferring money was against the rules, and went to support

I fully understand how and why this is a rulebreak and was prepared to give this money up when I went to support last night, I waited for around 30 minutes but then had to disconnect due to a sit in game and did not want to get caught between support and in game rp.
I understand I should not keep the transferred money and would like to carry on playing without it and learning more about fivem if you decide to unban me, as I have enjoyed the server so far.

I rejoined after a few minutes as the connection dropped if I remember correctly. There is no log for the disconnect time but I was in for around half an hour

So from reading you didn't read the rules prior however did after the fact? 

Indeed you show a screenshot that shows you waiting 2 minutes in Join for Support, However outside of that it doesn't show us why you was their, If this screenshot is from a previous time ect, However at times if you are looking for staff help in JFS you may need to wait more than 2 minutes for us to see then move you, More so if we are in game doing things as well. 

In a lot of games now this kind of thing isn't allowed, So why would you think it was here at the time?

What was the purpose and goal for you and your friend doing this? 

If you have enjoyed your time playing here, Why would you simply risk it all?

The screenshot shows me rejoining and waiting in support 2 minutes after I initially joined, not just waiting 2 minutes and giving up, I probably closed TS by accident - then reconnected. As I said in my appeal I waited around 30 minutes. I took the screenshot on Wednesday night after I had realised I was banned (on Tuesday night or early AM wednesday), the screenshot says *yesterday* and shows me joining support on the Tuesday prior to my ban.
I realised we broke this rule and attempted to contact support, but after my time in there I had to leave.

I had read through the rules briefly when I started playing around a week ago, but admittedly and clearly not very well and I should have done earlier.

This was suggested by my friend as we didn't see ourselves using the other characters, and was a bit of extra money - this was prior to realising this was against the rule and we just went ahead and didn't think anything of it at the time.

I have enjoyed my time so far here on fivem and I didn't see doing it as risking it all to get banned over 70K.

I have read the rules since more thoroughly and understand from the rules what is not allowed now. If I had read them earlier I would have known of the rule and never transferred the money, which is what I should have done.

For someone who has been in the community for quite some time I would have thought you would have known better. Waiting around for 30 minutes to try and "come clean" isn't your saving grace here. If anything it makes it worse, you have been here long enough to know any sort of exploiting is a permanent ban and you know there is multiple methods of contacted staff. Why didn't you try and contact staff on teamspeak? Why didn't you create a discord ticket if you knew you messed up so badly? What is your teamspeak name? So we can see if this story of yours adds up.

I did play in the community a long time ago, but have not been around for quite some time either and also being new to fivem, I think we we're just stupid to have transferred the money without thinking about the possibility of breaking a rule. I also don't expect to rely on waiting in support to be a card I can play to be unbanned, but I thought it would be a way to show that we didn't intend on going against the rule purposely and wanted to talk to support. When I used to play here on arma, messaging staff becuase you've been waiting in support just meant waiting longer and I wasn't even aware there we're discord tickets until the night I posted this appeal - I was trying to get access to this forum account again and @Stuarttold me about making a discord ticket. My name in Teamspeak was 'Ryan'.

So what was the reason for the money transfers in the first place? What kind of effect do these kind of rule breaks have on the server? 

Furthermore, with an unban would come a full character wipe and the deletion of 3/4 characters. Would that lead to you trying to make quick and easy money again?

The money was a suggestion which me and my friend who is also banned decided to go ahead with as I explained before, we didn't think anything wrong of it at the time and it was a stupid thing to do looking back at it. Not only is this sort of thing unfair as I gain this money which other players do not, but now I realise it defeats the object of the server - serious rp etc.

As annoying as it is to receive a wipe after I've shown myself joining support to attempt to resolve without a ban, I understand if this is necessary and that I still broke the rule regardless. My purpose of playing the server is not just to grind the server for money and do nothing else; I am new to fivem and have been wanting to start playing and experience it

Did you read the rules prior to being banned, If not can you explain why you didn't? 

As annoying as it may seem in your own words you did in fact cheat to get the money you gained with your friend. As mentioned above should we offer an unban it will come with a full character wipe on the one character you would like to keep and the other three to be deleted. So as you mentioned Todd Wadsworth I'd assume this is the character you wish to keep? 

How can we be sure that you won't break these rules next time that got you here?

As I mentioned earlier in the report, I had scimmed through the rules when I first started playing about a week prior to this ban - but obviously not very well, which I should have.

Since then I had re-read the rules which is when I realised I had broken the rule on transferring money, and have gone through them again since my ban to try and stop this happening again with another rule.

I hope that you trust me to not break another rule, or do something similar again if I was to be unbanned. I had enjoyed playing up to my ban and would not want to get into this situation again. I would like to continue to play, having ensured I'm aware of the rules properly this time.

As I would be starting on a wiped character if unbanned, I have no preference which would be kept. I believe my first character is called Ryan Jones or similar so I'd be fine to keep that one.

You don't have a character called Ryan Jones as mentioned. You have one called Jon Jones would this be the one? If not the other ones first names are Dan and Jimothy, So if you could confirm if it's one of these you wish to keep since the others will be deleted and the one you would like to keep will receive a full wipe.

I'll put the rules to the test, Can you quote the rule you have been banned for and explain in your own words why you believe we have such a rule ?

(G2.9) Transferring money or items between your own characters is not allowed by any method.

(C2.2) Exploiting - Using or attempting to use any exploits in any of our community game servers such as but not limited to duplication of items or money, transferring/processing items through walls and windows or bypassing intended animations. Punishment is a permanent ban without appeal. If you discover an exploit that nobody else knows about, please reveal it to a staff member privately in order to ensure that it does not get abused in the future.

These are in place as the transferring of money defeats the object of the server which is to rp, it gives an unrealistic advantage which I should not have access to and neither do others. By tansferring money I now realise that I make an unrealistic gain of money with 0 rp or play time involved.

If the wipe includes the characters phone and contacts then the Jon Jones character, if contacts or phone numbers are kept after the wipe then could I continue with the Todd character, thank you.

No problem, You do keep your contacts ect so I've requested a full wipe on Todd and deletion of the other three characters. This may take some time to be completed, However once this is done we will update the appeal and move forward.
