Why do you think you were banned: I was banned under the rule C2.2 Exploiting
Why should we unban you: Firstly I would like to apologise for my misuse of the 3rd person shooting, there is no justifiable reason for me to have used this for my advantage, and would like to display the regret I have for using it.

Realising that I have been banned from this community that I have given so much time to, spent numerous hours with people I would class as friends and the multitude of different encounters I have had with people within this server, it was stupid for me to misuse this, whereas some of the times it occurred it wasn’t necessarily done with purpose but rather occurring in the heat of the moment, as a lot of people know that when you first pull the gun out sometimes it could lead to putting you into the 3rd person camera automatically, at the time I didn’t think much of it due to it occurring in a short time span.

However, I did notice that a few people had used this camera to their advantage and I failed to rather report on it, I acted on it personally, I know that two wrongs don’t make a right, and I failed to admit that at the time, as I believed if people are doing this unfairly, why shouldn’t I level the playing field.

I realise now that this was the wrong mindset to have and has distanced me from the community I enjoy spending time in, creating roleplay stories for a range of audiences as well as preventing furthering my “Cutlass Story” for my character “Paul McLovin”.

I do deeply regret not having the correct mindset from the jump and now better now that I shouldn’t think that because people are breaking rules against me, I should retaliate with the same.

I also know that the reason this rule is in place is to ensure that everyone has a level playing field and people that fail to appreciate the value of this rule will be susceptible to the consequences that follow, as I have been treated in the same regard.

This has generally opened my eyes towards how I should be approaching these kinds of volatile situations, and understand that it is my part to report on any forms of exploiting that I may find people abusing or even find personally, I wish I had done this and avoided using it myself as it wouldn’t have put me out of reach from the community I do want to be a part of, adhering to the rules that are here for a reason, ensuring everyone has a good time and a fair experience.

Good evening @Paul McLovin , I hope all is well!

So ultimately you are admitting to the fact you knew this was a rule break, was aware other players were doing this despite it being bannable yet still went ahead and did it yourself just because other people were?
Surely if this is the community you love spending time in, why would you even put it at risk knowingly just to gain the upper hand during a gunfight?

It's disappointing to see how many players have been caught out by this now but we would expect that our long term players would know better.
Roughly how many times would you say that you've gone ahead and shot whilst using 3rd person?

Yes, I understand that it was stupid of me to follow this kind of mentality and at the end of the day, if someone is breaking rules and giving themselves an advantage doesn’t mean that I should also be following suite. I am ashamed to admit this now, that I followed the crowd rather than displaying my dedication towards this community that I have been a part of for such a long time now, and do regret my actions, I want to apologise for the unfairness I have created by doing this.

I would say I’ve done it a couple of times, however I am unsure of the exact amount.

Hello @Sammy , I'm very well thank you.

This experience has been a lesson learned for me and in future I will do everything that I can to inform staff. If I feel like I've been personally affected by a rule break, I will open a ticket or report instead of also breaking the rules. It wasn't fair of me to do and I know that two wrongs don't make a right. I'd like to see the positives in this situation and use this as a reminder to not allow my frustrations to overcome my love for the server.

I'd want to continue the various story lines I have happening with my main character, Paul McLovin. I've worked my way up through Cutlass for almost two years now and I've always enjoyed the situations that I've encountered on him. I've roleplayed a lot with members of the community outside of Cutlass and have formed many friendships that I'd like to return to and continue. I have a lot of motivation to come back and have thought of many stories to create which I hope will highlight my roleplay and bring an enjoyable experience for whoever ends up joining in.

Keep in mind, any ban within the next 6 months will be permanent again and should you be caught exploiting again in any way, shape or form, you will not be coming back for a very long time, maybe not at all!
