Unban Appeal for Max_Askren

In-game Name: Max Askren

Server: GTA RP

Steam ID: 76561199123604510

Ban ID: !!rpuk10049!!

Reason given for your ban: G2.4 NVL

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: So around 6 months ago I was banned for incorrect roleplaying actions which was my complete fault and it resulted in a 6 month cooldown. I cannot correctly know the ins and outs as it was quite some time ago. But, i can remember it being me being held and knife point and gun point and i strangely decided to run away and not drop any of my items which can be seen in a video clip which has been sent to my previous appeal which can be seen there. This is incorrect roleplay and i have now seen the reason for this ban. I think i stupidly decided to try and defend myself saying that people could run away whilst being held at knife point which is bizarre as that would never happen in real life.

Why should we unban you ?: I think that during this time i have had time to reflect on this and fully understood why you have banned me. It has killed me not being able to be apart of the server and have alot of fun whilst playing with others that i have now not seen in a while so it would be nice to log back in and see what has changed. in the six month period i have grown from being immature and wanting to fight back to fully understanding where people are coming from and listening. I feel like i have cooled fully down and ready to start maturely and be proper in my roleplaying adventures not doing something that any normal person wouldn't do. Finally, i would like to apologise to anyone that was involved in this and hopefully we can move on and be civil and enjoy the server at its fullest. Thank you for reading, Max.

Please confirm that you have read the unban appeal process and rules: Yes

You say you have cooled down and understand why what you did was wrong yet how can we possibly believe that.

The last time you were unbanned you said the same things and were breaking rules again soon after and received this ban.

You have been banned for a whole range of things in the past yet you have not learnt anything. It’s almost as if you simply refuse to follow the rules and just say whatever you can to be unbanned without actually meaning any of it.

Your stance on the situation has changed since your last appeal 6 months ago.

What made you change your view?

Why do you think we have the NVL rule?

Why is it important for players to follow the rules?

Hi there much appreciated for reading.

I can understand why you have question my previous actions as they are not right in every manner. For the first question I feel like my view has changed as over the period of 6 months I have grown as a person mentally, physically and now I take a look back on my previous actions and think why have I even done the things that happened. I feel like I never fully understood the concept of role playing in the way that I thought I was almost just joyriding about and if I did something wrong or against the rules nothing would ever happen. In which I was severely wrong. Now I can fully understand that it is another reality in every aspect of life and I can now see that doing something against the rules or non human like can effect other players.

for the second question I feel like you have that rule in place as in an actual situation on a street etc… your life is a lot more important than your inventory or you wallet or your phone etc… and if this was to happen to you it you would more than likely give your things rather than die or get injured. so I feel like the rule has been placed to replicate that and make sure things like what I did don’t happen.

and finally for the third question I feel like it is important for the online players to follow the rules because it stops people for breaking their character and doing non human like actions, I feel like it tones players down to be respectful and sets a real life environment and when someone steps out of that bracket they become very noticeable to the Mods which will take necessary steps to make sure that they are appropriate to their role. Finally on this point I feel like they restrict people, but in the right way to stop the player getting out of control.

thank you for listening, hope this answers your questions. Max Keller

This really helps me ensure you understand right from wrong and know why it is important to follow the rules for the sake of fairness and the roleplay experience of others, not just yourself.

I will be allowing you back in. However, this is a trial to see if you can practice what you preach. If you break any rule whatsoever within the next 6 months, you will be right back to a permanent ban without appeal for another 6 months.
