In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was banned due to not valuing my life and providing low quality role-play during the situation between the Aztecas and Police at GP. In said situation I failed to put my hands up and surrender while being faced with a sub-machine gun, instead I resulted to walking away and throwing a rude comment to the police officer in front of me. Looking back at this particular situation, and having spoken to Staff and other members of this community, I can clearly see that I was at fault in this situation and that the roleplay provided by me did not meet the servers standards and resulted in both sides having an unpleasant role-play Scenario. I hereby would also like to apologise to the police officers involved, who because of me and my actions experienced low quality role-play and possibly had their evening ruined.
Why should we unban you ?: I’d like to start off by saying that my behaviour displayed during this particular situation is not how I would usually act towards police and that I generally consider myself a player who plays by the rules. During said evening communication on radio was “going crazy”, there were a lot of people talking at once and general confusion about what is going on. As mentioned before we were holding someone hostage, which admittedly gave me a false sense of confidence. I wrongfully was under the impression that us holding the hostage would grant me some form of immunity for the time being, thinking that police would not dare to harm me while knowing that there is armed Aztecas around, us holding someone hostage and having other gangs in the area watching the situation unfold. Now looking back at this I understand that my actions lead to both sides having an unpleasant RP scenario, completely denying the possibility of having this scenario unfold into a different direction. Since then I have spoken to a lot of people, including Staff, trying to get a different point of view on things and helping me understand how the police officer in question must have felt. I’d like to think that I made an active effort to better myself and understand, even using my time since the ban to re-read and internalize the rules once more.
Ever since my last ban I made an active effort to better my role-play and the impact my character has on the community. I became more active on the forums and engaged more with other people, giving advise, feedback or my opinion on different posts and subjects. I even received a recommendation for my role-play twice ever since, further proving that I did my best to change the way I am perceived in-game and giving people pleasant role-play scenarios that they can look back on fondly. I’d like to think that generally me and the Character I portray on the server are well known and liked in the community and that during my time here I made a lot of friends.
So if you ask me why I should be unbanned I can only say that I am truly sorry for my actions and the harm they caused. As shown before I try and learn from my mistakes and this is what I promise I will do again this time, starting by reaching out to other people and have them helping me understand and learn. This community means a great deal to me and I would be grateful to get the chance to actively stay and keep being a part of it.
