In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I was permanently banned and given a six month appeal cooldown following an incident involving a container belonging to 229 members. In this particular situation I was given the code to the lock-up, which was retrieved OOC, and used it to gain access to the container. I decided to take all of the valuable items from the container after a gunfight had occurred between Hustlers and 229. After an investigation took place into the incident, staff asked me to join a Discord VC where I lied and gave a false, altered story in an attempt to shift the blame off of Bundy and anyone else they assumed had involvement in the rule break.
Why should we unban you ?: I would like to begin by apologising for my actions. The situation that led to my ban was very poor from me as a whole and I completely understand the reason as to why this ban has been put in place. I don't know what came over me that day - my eyes lit up as I scrolled through the container, and after seeing an abundance of automatic weapons I foolishly stole over 20 guns, 36 valuable coins, as well as a large amount of varied ammunition. When called into a voice-chat with members of the staff and management team after the incident was investigated, I had an extremely poor lapse of judgement where I proceeded to provide an altered story in a moment of panic.
I am truly sorry to the staff and management team of whom I lied to and the individuals I negatively affected with this rule break. I got caught up in the moment and I did not take the time to reflect on the consequences this could (and did) have on myself and the other party involved in the situation.
I want to make it known that I am ashamed of my actions and, if given the chance to play the server again, I will take steps to ensure this behaviour is not seen from me on your servers again. Going forward, if I am unbanned, I will take great care in my actions and words to ensure my actions fully embrace and do not breach the server rules in any way shape or form.
For the initial months of my ban, I took a step back from the RPUK community. In this time I realised how much I valued and thoroughly enjoyed playing and talking to others on your GTA RP server. I have kept in touch with select members of RPUK of whom I play other games with, and I enjoy the occasional conversations we may have about the community. These often include different scenarios that take place inside of the server, such as Father’s and Kat’s pregnancy, as well as the various updates that have recently been implemented. Following my rule break the people I talk to have expressed their negative feelings surrounding the incident, shaming me for what I did which has helped me to further understand the stupidity of my actions. My time away from your server has also given me time to reflect on my punishment, the events that lead up to it, where I went wrong, and what I should’ve done instead in order to prevent it.
In this incident, I should’ve shut down any mention of the container code as soon as it was brought to my attention as simply discussing it can heavily encourage metagaming. However, me failing to do this led to a serious rulebreak which negatively impacted those involved through losing an array of valuable items and me having an unfair and dishonourable advantage.
I understand that the rules set out by the RPUK management team are put in place to create a fair, welcoming, and divine experience for all players, and my actions on this day did not reflect this. I do not go out of my way to intentionally break these rules, and although I have slipped up in the past, I have strived to have an enjoyable time with others on Roleplay.co.uk, and hope to have shown this by taking part in different player-hosted events and pieces of strong roleplay throughout the past two years.
If I were to be given a second chance, this is something I would wish to continue in my character’s story for it to further progress and flourish, sharing the enjoyable experiences I would bring to the server with others. More specifically, the roleplay I would plan to do if I am unbanned would be to return to Hustlers and continue my storyline as Mack Daniels and make an effort to give continuous, strong pieces of roleplay to those I encounter by taking my time and ensuring both parties are having a satisfying experience. Moreover, I would also create a focus with making a return to the police service as Luke Warm and Gruppe6 as Danny Hart. I would like to make an effort to progress in both of these roles, by putting in hard work whilst having an enjoyable experience with others. Another roleplay avenue I would like to see is reuniting what is left of the Hart brothers who work together to find their way around the city, interacting with the players they come across during their adventures and providing a unique and thrilling experience.
