In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I believe I was banned for statements I made about the Queen and the British Empire just before the two minutes silence at legion square.

Why should we unban you ?: First of all, I was totally and utterly unaware that there was any sort of rule against making negative comments about the Queen. I was told in TS after that there was a "0 Tolerance" Policy during the multiple minute silences and I even checked the rules after this, where I could not find any mention of such a thing. If I had known this, I would have refrained from saying anything and kept my thoughts to myself.

Now I understand you may argue it should be "Common Sense", but due to the controversy around the Royal Family and how divided peoples views are across the world, I would argue its far from "Common Sense".

The comments I did make were about the Mau Mau Uprising from 1951 - 1960 where thousands of Kenyans were held in concentration camps and raped and tortured by British colonial forces that were under the Queen's reign at the time. An estimated 20,000 - 100,000 Kenyans were killed during this period.
I brought this up at the time as this is something I feel very strongly about and I believed those who lost their lives during that time deserved the same respect as the Queen, if not more.

Now that I am aware how seriously negative comments about the Queen are taken, I would refrain from making such comments again and keep this sort of thing to myself; Like I would have done anyway had I known about the "0 tolerance policy".

I have been banned from the server before and since returning I have been doing my best to provide quality RP whilst playing as a variety of different characters. I know what its like to be away from the server for long periods of time and how much it makes you miss playing. I would never do anything intentionally that would jeopardise my place in this community.

Are you honestly going to say to us that its not common sense to speak ill of the British Monarch on the day of her death, on a British server? I respect that this country has done some horrible things in the past, and I respect that not everyone is going to be a huge fan, and that's fine. All we ask is that, at least on the day of her death, you keep it to yourself. It really shouldn't take us putting it up in writing all over the server tell you what not to say, hence common sense applies. Apparently you lack either the common sense or you are just incredibly selfish and don't care. One way or the other, take some time away.
