In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: Im assuming i am banned because i logged on with another gang member to buy a gun from him and hustlers just arrived at turf resulting in a gun fight.

Why should we unban you ?: i think i should be unbanned because i didnt break any rules, i didnt expect any hustlers to be around turf, i wasnt even set up for a fight , i was in a pillbox gown in the middle of a car park when i loaded in. i dont have much info to give as there isnt much to it, but i believe ive been wrongly banned for something i havent done.

Can you please quote the rule you were banned for? This might help to jog your memory.

Being honest is the only way you will ever be unbanned so I want you to really think about what you might have done to break that rule.

You might try to play innocent but you should know, we know a lot more than you think.

information to influence the course of roleplay is considered metagaming and punishable by a ban. 
This includes but is not limited to: Twitch Streams, forum information and Steam messages. 

I am being honest and will only speak the truth in this appeal. The only thing that can be coincidentally linked to this rule with what happened that day, as i logged on as 2 hustlers pushed turf, i understand how this can look like a form of meta from the hustlers, But to me , logically speaking, if it was meta, I wouldn't have been able to log onto the server within 10-20 seconds of them pushing, i feel like if  anyone got pushed and decided to try and meta game it would take atleast 3-4 mins to fully get into the server , Where as i connected basically as they got to turf, it was unfortunate timing on my behalf as i was not set up for a gun fight at all.

Hello Liam thanks for responding,
The night previous to the day of my ban me and jack planned to exchange guns, i had to borrow 400k from another Dan, another gang member as you'll be able to see from my banking, that was to get me to about 700k so i could pay 650k for the gun.

But before we had a chance to do the deal jack went bed as it was late. All chats about the gun was over the radio in game. The next day i was playing sons of forest with my partner and he went for food and was going to take about 45 mins, so i asked jack OOC if we are able to finish this gun deal as i didn't plan on playing FiveM on the Sunday as wanted to play sons of the forest more.

If asking to finish the deal OOC is meta then that is completely my fault and is due to my lack of knowledge around this rule, to be honest i didn't think this would be an issue since we have had prior RP behind this exchange and i wasn't using the information to get an advantage in the server, this is where i will learn from this  and ill be sure for this to not happen again. But i certainly didn't log on to fight anyone and even had no intentions of staying on the server once the purchase was complete. 

As I said the timing is god awful and doesn't play in my favour but my intentions were not to fight or help anyone , simply wanted to buy the gun , ever since my last ban about 4-5 months ago (i think) I've really tried my hardest to learn from every situation I've had to improve my experience on the server as well as others. I would hate for all my time on the server to be washed down the drain over something I feel I had no control over. I really would appreciate the opportunity to be able to join back and prove myself to staff and everyone else that i can be trusted in this community and can play my part in making the server fun for everyone.

So let's say you didn't log on to help your gang in a fight, however, I think it is safe to assume that you did see the message in your discord in regards to it.
What are your thoughts on this type of behavior? Does it seem fair to you (from your opponent's perspective) and do you feel any responsibility as a fellow gang member and friend to say something? Would you do anything differently if you saw this type of stuff happen again?

Hello Jeep, i appreciate you taking the time to read and respond to the appeal.

Ill break my reply down for you in sections to its easier to understand.

I did see a message get sent but i was already at Goma parking when the message was sent, but even if a message wasnt sent , the time is still dodgy looking from logs and from the hustlers POV , which i understand fully.

What are your thoughts on this type of behavior? Does it seem fair to you (from your opponent's perspective) and do you feel any responsibility as a fellow gang member and friend to say something?

My thoughts on this type of behaviour is the same as anyone else's thought should be , its not a good thing to do or to allow, its unfair for the opposition and can easily make a fair and enjoyable fight/situation turn into a toxic and unappealing roleplay scenario. Since the bans have come into place, on a personal level and as a whole, the gang has definitely taken this entire situation as a hard learned lesson and i can already see improvements and efforts to make sure nothing like this happens again. We are responsible for the image of 229 and we dont want it tarnished over stupidity and mistakes, so we are all making sure we call out our peers to do better and improve with every situation.

in my honest opinion, as much as me getting banned is annoying as i cant play the server with my good friends, i think its a big wake up call to the entire gang to make sure we dont become sloppy and complacent with following the rules. 

Would you do anything differently if you saw this type of stuff happen again?

Yes of course, like stated above we have already made a huge effort on improving ourselfs, I know if i see anything like this being done i will call it out and i trust everyone else will, i dont want to get banned again and especially over something like this.

yes this is what happened , as you can see from the other appeals , rock has admitted he sent a message after the first kill, and I was logged into the server within the minute of the first kill which is shown in the logs that was posted on dans (harribos) appeal. 

Seeing how rock has been unbanned by saying he sent a message and by just being honest , I genuinely have no reason to lie , if there was any other information that would help my case I would 100% say as I really do want to be back on the server helping the boys fight hustlers , chilling with my friends and just having a laugh on the server.

So you are claiming that the message sent didn't influence you in coming on the server and getting involved in the current fight yous we're having with Hustlers at the time? 

How would it be fair overall if one side (In general and including why you are banned) for others to use OOC information to influence their decision to come on and help out, As going over everything that's what you did.

Where was this planned to?

As I stated in my reply to jeep , the night before I was banned Jack asked over the radio if anyone wants to buy a marksman and I said ill buy it , but before we had chance to do the deal a situation came up and when it ended Jack went to bed, but because he ended up going bed , I asked him if he is free to do the deal quick while my partner went for food as we were playing the forest together before I came on.

Yes the message didn’t influence me from logging in because I was already logging in as it was sent , I didn’t actually see the message until I tabbed out the game to deafen , but at that point I already knew hustler were at our turf cuz they drove past me in goma and I was hiding behind the box thing where the guy stands to unpark cars. So I already knew they was on turf before I saw the message but I did see the message.

I don’t think it’s fair at all, and I do discourage this sort of behaviour which is why it’s very disheartening being banned knowing that if I logged on like 30 seconds later, I would’ve saw the message before selecting my character I would’ve just F8 quit the game so I wasn’t involved.

I did try my hardest not to get involved in the situation that was going on, once the hustler car drove past goma and I was in the clear I took my chance and ran towards turf , got colours on and just camped turf as at this point both hustlers that came down to turf were killed by rock , so with no other hustlers around of our knowledge me and Jack just sat on turf for about 20 minutes before taken a downed 229 member pillbox and then going about our RP.

Yes I was in a discord VC with Jack and Dan chilling and chatting about a situation we had a few nights ago, and then when I spawned in goma I hid in the corner because I saw the hustler car and deafened myself in discord

Alright, whilst speaking to other Staff Members involved with these strings of  'Hop On Squad' unban appeals. We've came to the following conclusion.

You will be unbanned from this situation as when Rock downed the first Hustler member, you were already logging onto the server at this point. However, it is convenient that both you and Jack decided to log on within minutes of one another for a gun deal when there is no text messages, GC messages, and or phone calls between you both. So remember that everything must be done via in game not on Discord and don't hop on squad in the future if you are ever tempted.
