Why should we unban you ?: Good evening, Admin Staff
I respect the cooling off period of a month handed down to me. My actions in the incident I see as not only completely disrespectful but also extremely childish.
This has not only given me time to reflect on what I have done wrong, but also given me the opportunity to investigate and understand different RP scenarios. Not only have I spent the month watching numerous different RP servers, reading different “current appeals” and basically getting a better and broader understanding of the RP communities. I have realised that the entire existence of the city is based on RP. When I fail proper RP, not only do I affect my experience, but I also affect the other players RP as well.
Where I believe I went wrong on the RPUK server was by taking the RP personally. Although the RP is designed to be fun and at the same time serious, I believe that it is not meant to be taken personally.
I would also like this to be considered as a formal apology to you the admin staff, and the other people involved with the incident.

All is well thank you. I trust that you are all doing great this evening.

Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal and for your response. 

• With the month cooldown, what has changed?
  The past month has definitely been a month of research and reflection. I have taken quite a bit of time to better understand the RP world as well as reflected on the incident that has lead me to this situation. One in which I would never want to be in again. I have realised the importance of good role play for all parties involved as well as the impact of poor roleplay. 
  

• How did you improve on yourself?
  I have accepted my wrong doing from the offset and have used the time to educate myself on as much aspects of RP as I could think of. This included but was not limited to watching multiple different GTA RP streamers (some within the same city/server), reading through the rules on a few occasions and going through multiple different reports and the responses thereof. This I believe has broadened my perspective on what the expectations are regarding RP and what is to be deemed unacceptable.
  

• What did you learn? 
  The biggest lesson that I have learnt throughout this, is that as long as I am online and in character that I MUST above all respect the rules of the city and of the RP community. Every negative response to a situation will undoubtedly been reciprocated with a negative outcome.  
   
  
• How do I know IF unbanned, you won't return to your "old ways" of saying the things you have in a moment of frustration. 
  The incident that has been brought me here is genuinely not a true reflection of my character. I know that it was outburst which I can certainly say would not happen again. I have also come to terms with that in the worst of worst scenario's that I could be presented with in the future,  the best would be to remain calm and play out the scenario. There is no doubt in my mind that I will never want to be in this situation again. 
  

Also why do you link your previous application instead of describe what has happened?
It is my 1st time going through this process. I was not 100% sure on how to submit the re-appeal after the 30 day cool down. I though that if I post the link as a reference to why I was submitting an appeal that it would make referring the incident a bit more simpler for the team. If this was incorrect of me, I apologise.

(C1.2) Discrimination
This I believe is purely based on the treatment and actions towards others.
The moment they are treated in a negative way or disfavourably, direct or indirectly, because of a difference which is by choice or not. I believe that the moment a persons dignity is violated, the act of discrimination has been at play.

(G2.4) Value of Life
I have come to learn that in the world of RP, this is extremely important as to ensure the realism of the RP. In a real life scenario we are not invincible. We take care of our lives to ensure health, wealth and longevity. We would do anything to ensure this is real life, so the same needs to be applied in the RP.

(G4.3) When you respawn and NLR applies
The new life rule has been made clear that once a respawn has taken place that there is no recollection of the events that lead up to the respawn. This includes memory loss of all members of the RP, the RP itself and the location which the RP took place. There is also no discussion of what took place as it is deemed a complete memory wipe.

(G4.4) When you are downed
This is to be taken as a real life incident where you are not yet dead. This is a great opportunity to RP injuries sustained which would be relevant to the event. This is something that must never been overseen. This will include but not limited to GSW, been run over by a vehicle or falling off a bike. These RP moments will continue whilst receiving medical assistance or undergoing surgery.

Thank you for taking the time to read to my response and for your questions posted.

This has been my first ever RP server that I have been a part of, so needless to mention it has been a huge learning experience for me. So much so that I believe that I have learnt as much maybe even a bit more during the time that I have been out of the city. When I think back on the way I behaved in the city, a lot was based on the way I had been treated. So meaning that I learnt RP from others in the city. If I had taken the time out in the beginning to do a bit more research on RP, I know that it would not have come to this. Thankfully, I have done this and have a greater respect towards RP. I have even thought of how great a pre RP training course would be . 

Why did you decide to act out the way you did in this situation?

I don't believe it was a decision I consciously made. I know it was a build up of frustration both in and out of character which caused the unacceptable outburst. I also believe that the lack of properly understanding quality RP in that particular situation at that point lead to that. Not knowing how to deal with someone that wants to engage RP when I am about to fly out of the city. Lesson learnt there is to ensure that when I am going to fly out I need to be at my house or in an area where the possibility of being approached is minimal.

Lesson learnt there is to ensure that when I am going to fly out I need to be at my house or in an area where the possibility of being approached is minimal.

This is a good thing to do as you have stated, So there is no RP prior to you leaving the server.

Moving back to the report and a few things mentioned within this video, There is a point at 5:30 onwards to where you mentioned your video will remind you of said situation and that it uploads automatically. Do you see anything wrong with that statement, If so can you explain what it is?

To provide some clarification to what I mentioned - coming into something new, like RPUK, and not knowing how things worked or the expectations and the way things got communicated...
I accepted the occasions of being randomly killed or robbed without any RP since I never knew any better...I decided then that I wanted to experience as many different working related things in the city as possible, which I eventually started doing. Starting with mining, then to smelting, then to crafting. Mostly with zero guidance from anyone.
In saying this, whenever I would meet a new person on the server...I would do my best to provide them a good RP experience. 

WRT "your video will remind you of said situation and that it uploads automatically" - I 100% see the wrong in that statement. It completely goes against and violates the NLR rule. I died and respawned - NLR dictates that there will be no recollection of the events leading up to the death, which includes locations and people involved.

Indeed you are correct in your response and one could also argue powergaming in that aspect, In respect to the video automatically uploading since it leaves no room for RP back and forth. 

Going over your appeal and how you are presenting yourself this is a much different side than we saw in the video in the report that lead you here. Based on that I will be going ahead and giving you another opportunity to return. It should go without saying to ensure you are providing good and quality RP to anyone you encounter, Regardless of situation you end up in and not let our emotions get the better of us. We are all here for the same reason, The joys of RP and to become another person for the time you are playing. 

If you do encounter others breaking the rules I am confident you know how to make a report having gone through the appeals process. You can also call it out in OOC chat when it's happening and if a staff member is available we will of course come and have a look over the situation, Whilst I cannot guarantee this will happen, Always worth popping it there to make us aware.

Don't let us down with this opportunity and I do hope to not see you back in this section moving forth.
