In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: (C2.2) Exploiting - Using or attempting to use any exploits in any of our community game servers such as but not limited to duplication of items or money, transferring/processing items through walls and windows or bypassing intended animations. Punishment is a permanent ban without appeal. If you discover an exploit that nobody else knows about, please reveal it to a staff member privately in order to ensure that it does not get abused in the future.

I am not sure what the exploit is I am being acused of. I would like to hear from an admin what it is exactly what I did wrong.


(G2.9) Transferring money or items between your own characters is not allowed by any method.

The money/items transfer between characters I do not understand at all as I am sure I did not. The person I sold the leather to is a completely different person. I did help them load the leather in their truck after I got payed, but it was from my truck to theirs. I kept none of the leather myself.
In the past there was the smootie incident, but I have been banned for that and during the appeal it was disscussed and solved. So I learned my lesson back then and know this is not allowed.
So in conclusion, I am not sure what it is I did wrong.

Why should we unban you ?: At this point I am very disencouraged to return to RPUK.

I am writing this appeal mainly because I feel I did nothing wrong and I do not want to dissapoint the people I RP with by suddenly being gone.

I will be awaiting your explenation as to why I was banned so I can defend myself.

I hope we're doing well today. 

Firstly, you should be more than aware of what you did wrong. 
You even yourself mentioned in #help, a few comments and to quote them; 

That would mean I am a criminal but honestly didn't know what was going on untill I talked to some people after then ban. I can understand why now but still... Very silly

Friend that got same ban as me (no idea why, most likely cus of what I accidentally did and they were involved with me after) has already given up and they aint the only ones

So you know why you were banned, but now you claim you did nothing wrong and are awaiting for our explanation?
 
I'll ask you something to jog your memory; 
When you were transferring said leather, who's vehicle was it? 
When you were transferring said leather, are you sure you did not assist in something? 

I understand you might feel discouraged to return to RPUK, but this is a bed you made yourself. 

I will not be explaining myself or other staff team on a decision that has been made on JUST grounds. 
You're here to prove yourself to us. Not the other way around. 
I gave you plenty of hints with the two questions above, I am keen to hear your explanation for both.

You're here to prove yourself to us. Not the other way around. 

You are here to prove yourself as sincere and right/just staff  just as much as I am here to prove I am a just and fair player. Like I said... A community is build from both sides. If I am not sure what the exploit is exactly, it should be said so it can not be repeated in the future. 

About the transferring, you asked:

The leather, a 100 pieces I believe, were in a white Mule car that belonged to my character named Kathleen Miller.

I assisted in putting the leather that I sold to a person named Emily, from my White mule, to her mule. I do not see at all how this is a problem. The storm was comming so I helped transfer the sold items so it would be done faster. Please explain how this is a problem?

In relation to this overall, Have you taken the time to read the rules either since you joined the server or since the ban was issued and prior to the appeal being made? If not please explain why.

May I ask what you we're waiting for clarification on, Since prior to this ban no questions have been asked from yourself towards the staff team. This being the case there was nothing for us to clarify.
By the final part of your statement here, Doesn't this contradict your first statement above?

How would this not be an issue, You have just here admitted to the rules you we're banned for. You assisted another player to transfer items between their characters, From what I'm getting out of this comment you know what you have done however just trying to down play your part in this.

You assisted your friend move items between their characters and in turn broke the two rules you we're banned for. Now I do have to question, How did you meet the person you we're with? Explain how you met both of their characters.

Are you two IRL friends who talked about this prior ?

Yes I have read the rules before playing, during the smoothie ban and once more now.

I am asking what this is... What are we talking about? Selling leather to another player is an exploit? I am utterly confused. What is the exploit??? If I do not know what I did how am I supose to know?

The reason I opend this appeal was to get clarification on to what the exploit was I did. I have talked to some people yes, but they have only given me ideas on what it could be... I am not sure what it is. Instead of speculating everything i might have done wrong, I would like to hear it from staff.

I am not saying I did not break any rules. Perhaps I was doing something that was seen as breaking rules. I do not know so I am asking to clear this up for me.

I am trying to stand on equal ground here as I feel I am being wrongly acused. Sorry, but there has yet to be told what the exploit was that I did because I claim I did not do anything wrong. We are two different people with each their own character. Kathleen had 100 leather in her mule wich she sold to Emily. I did not assist my friend in moving items... I RP-ed with her prior and knew therefor she needed leather so I went out to get some. I left her a txt on her phone saying i would be at the ranger station with more later as i needed a little break. When i logged back on they met at the station and we got the pop up saying storm/server reset was happening. So i was being helpfull by making sure the leather she bought from me/kathleen was fairly transfered to her since she payed already and then i logged for storm waiting to get back on after.. only to hear i got banned

There is no both characters? I am honestly and seriously utterly confused about this... What both characters?????

It also has to do with a previous report I made where there was some very poor RP, yet I was the one getting an unofficial warning to rp my injuries (you might recall with the desync vrdm). When ya being screamed 'BITCH' at ... its a bit hard to serious RP... however this has nothing to do with the current appeal and I would like to stay on topic

What was the exploit? 


EDIT: I just realised my character on RPUK is called Kathleen Rose. Kathleen Miller is another character on a completely different server.

You aren't being wrongly accused of anything. You did break the rules you we're banned for, There is no misconception here. As mentioned above you assisted in helping another player transfer items between characters. This falls under exploiting and transferring items, Both rules you we're banned for.

So you are claiming you didn't assist in helping your friend do this, However in your previous statement you we're aware that you was using your vehicle to help another. This response seems a little disingenuous. So in this Emily's other character had the leather that you had in your vehicle and helped give to Emily, This is what you did. Emily has another character so how do you know both their characters?

The reason it's relevant is this was a comment made in a small rant you made on discord after you we're banned, So indeed it is relevant to this ban and your actions after the fact.

Whilst you claim there wasn't, This again isn't true. Overall honesty is key.

First of all... I have no reason to lie. I already stated I am very disencouraged to return. This is about me seriously not understanding what I exploited and thus wanting to know what I did wrong.

Yes I have talked to friends and we came up with ideas but none of them involved me helping someone transfer their items. Seems we were way off. Besides...yes, I knew that was banable when I had the smootie accident. I learned from that and promised I would not do that again. I plan on keeping that promise.



If you are talking about how they met overal... That would be the fallowing;

Kathleen is a cousin of Anna. Kathleen got kicked out of her parents house for being too spoiled/not doing much with her life (idk still working on the backstory). Not knowing where to go to as she had no brothers and sisters she turned to her fav cousin named Anna. They are not that close but still family is family. They would meet from time to time to check up on eachother.

Kathleen met Emily when Emily went hunting I think?. Kathleen had become a ranger because she was tired of city life and wanted to chill in nature. During her patrols she would often find Emily hunting arround the lumberyard. They slowly became friends.


If you are talking about how they met that day... that would be the fallowing;

Kathleen and Anna had been fruit picking in the morning I believe. Kathleen works for Shires company as a fruit picker and Anna manages smoothies in a shop in Sandy.
They only met that morning/early afternoon... i dont remember the time for sure. They helped eachother fill their trucks and went their ways. Anna did her smoothie buisness and kathleen went to Shires locker.

Kathleen then went back to the ranger station after some time where she met Emily and found out Emily was in need of leather. She checked her Surfer Van and found only 28  ( i think it was) left in there. She sold them to Emily and said she would go get some more. Hunting really takes hours and I needed a break... so I took Kathleen back... send a txt to Emily that she (kathleen) would be at the station later with leather. I logged off for a break. Once I logged back on, Emily and Kathleen met at the station where Emily bought the leather from Kathleen. The server reset popped up so Kathleen helped move the leather she hunted and put in her mule over to Emily her mule. I then logged off cus of storm.


So I honestly do not know where it is I helped transfer items as I only helped MOVE the leather that Kathleen got herself from hunting earlier to Emilies mule. It was a friendly gesture.

That is the truth and if I helped transfer something then that was not within my knowledge and not intended.

Edit: The misunderstanding, I thought might have happend cus I used my wrong character name so i thought you where thinking there where maybe two girls named kathleen

Looking at Kathleen her Shires log, I can see there was 500 apples first, then 1k oranges (from two trips) and then back to apples. I am not sure of what was in the glove box. I usually have a car cloth, repair kits (one red and one blue) and some food in there. 

The leather came after that, late afternoon.

 




Edit*: During the transfer of the oranges and apples to the locker, I do put Kathleen her phone and other shit she has on her in the truck for a bit so I can carry 50 at once and make the transfer faster. Dunno if that might have messed things up? I really can't think of anything else.

The first 28 leather or so that was left in the Surfer Van, I do not remember where that's from. I use the Surfer Van as my storage box, so I just dump w/e I do not need on me in there. It has been in there a while and could have come from anywhere.

The 100 leather after that, I gathered myself. I remember cus I was really fucking bored and remember why I do not hunt so often.

Yes, it was ingame and I send it when I went for a break, I think? The last apple deposit says it was 1.38 pm (that's GMT+1 if I am correct).  When I logged back in after the break it was almost 5 pm because the storm was about to hit. I think hunting took me an hour and a half so I would guess arround 3 pm gmt+1 ? ... It has been more then a week ago now.. So I am not sure.

Upon looking into this fully and everything mentioned by yourself I do believe you we're caught up into this and don't believe there is any malice on your side of this. Whilst I can't go into it fully the in's and out's as I've said I do believe what has been said and from what I've checked also. With bans of this nature as you are aware they do come with a full wipe ect, However I'll give the benefit of the doubt based on my reasons here and issue an unban with no conditions. 

Moving forth I would suggest being a bit careful when it comes to knowing the same person over multiple characters to try and avoid this issue moving forth. Just so you are aware this ban will not count towards the FBS.
