Reason given for your ban: C2.3 C1.7

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I found a bug when jumping on an electric box it turned me invisible. I decided to use this to mess with the grifters gang (community leaders), by jumping in their car with them undetected and stealing their car and running them over.

Why should we unban you ?: I am sorry for my previous actions on the server, I had enough hours on the server to know better, to not exploit a bug and seriously ruin the immersion for other players. I understand why these rules are in place. I haven't played GTA rp since my ban until the last few days. On other servers I experience players exploiting similar bugs and I see firsthand the affect it has on the experience of other players. I want to apologise to all staff members and players who I inconvienced during that incident.

I promise to adhere to the community guidelines, treat others with the utmost respect, and contribute positively to the roleplaying experience for all. Thank you for considering my request, and I hope you can find it in your hearts to grant me another chance to be a part of this wonderful community.

Nothing has changed per se, I guess I felt that waiting a couple of months until appealing, would better my case if I ever wanted to return back to rp.co.uk. - I figure, how geniune can someone be about missing the community,  observing and learning on their mistakes if they are appealing so shortly after their ban?

For me, I face the sanctions of not being allowed play on rp.co.uk due to my previous actions and their consequences on others.

Since the ban, I have played on two other RP servers, but not for long. I mostly played on car/drift related servers, and went down the rabbit hole of car mods on fivem. I started off by adding my own liverys and other cosmetic mods to cars, and then stuff like new tail lights and working windscreen wipers etc. Since joining this community I feel more intouch with FiveM and the endless capabilities. I appreciate what has gone into creating the rp.co.uk server, and maintaining it with all different types of moderators.

Talk me through your thought process on exploiting this bug. Why did you think it was okay? Why did you immediately then log off the server after becoming visible after rdm'ing a bunch of people essentially combat logging aswell?

I had tried to contact an admin to show them the bug and nobody was replying to me on discord or on ooc. I was half-apart of the grifters as I was being introduced to the gang members and how they work etc and talking OOC. I thought it would reach more eyes if I was messing with them, or at least they would know the right person to reach out to, to send a repro vid. I see now how that was a totally stupid thing to do, especially without consenting them first. I was talking to admin after it happened and explained everything, they suggested I do a ban appeal with as much info/screenshots/clips as I could. A few days had passed so I wasn't bothered appealing.

I don't recall 'combat logging' as I got banned before I left. However, I won't deny that I may have 'combat logged' in the past - I've been kidnapped, and left to die out in the ocean quite often, If it was late in the evening - I would sometimes log off and restart the death sequence on my next session. I understand this is breaking the rules, and my justifications aren't good enough.

How did you try to contact Staff, as I see no OOC messages from you regarding this situation.

The combat logging part, is when you were mid running people over. You were made visible again by Staff, to which you disconnected almost instantly. It feels as though you came onto our server to be a troll and nothing else. What was your Roleplay story with your characters on our server?

 
I contacted staff through the discord server.

I don’t recall combat logging mid vdm, perhaps I crashed, or did combat log. It was 9 months ago I don’t remember.

I did not join your server to intentionally troll, if that were the case I would’ve got banned in the first couple minutes / hour. Not after a couple of weeks and ~100 hours on the server.

My roleplay story was pretty generic as I was still learning how everything works on the server. My character Roy, was a humble taxi driver and small time cocaine dealer.

Roy had big goals for his new city. His main  long term goals were to save up for a house, and eventually a car dealership or garage as he worked in one in a previous life.

That just isn't true though! The only messages from yourself was in a ticket to Staff with the contents shown below.

I’ll start fresh on a new character, and build up some bank roll by taxi’ing and selling drugs.

I want to get properly involved in a gang/organisation this time around, so I’m going to take the steps to allow this to happen a bit more organically and naturally. 
 

A long term goal for me (on a separate character), would be to setup my own gang officially.

So answer me this.. If you find a bug similar to the one you did that led to your ban. What is the correct process to take in alerting the appropriate people?

Hi Siren,

If I were to encounter a bug, I would create a bug report on this forum: https://www.roleplay.co.uk/forum/573-gta-rp/ including the steps I took before the bug occured, adding any screenshots/videos too.

I will NOT attempt to reproduce said bug, until I have spoken to a member of staff.

I will unban you today however any bans within the next 6 months will put you back on a permanent ban as per FBS.

If you are banned again for exploiting a bug or anything similar your chances of a successful appeal are extremely low.

Dont mess this up.
