Reason given for your ban: C2.3 Combat Logging

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I have received a ban and it states that I was banned for C2.3, I have referred to the community guidelines and this corresponds with Combat Logging. I don't believe this to be true, and thinking back over the last few days I don't recall any situations where this could have been mistaken. The only time I recall could was I was hospitalized earlier and had issues with my vision in game where textures don't load in hospitals or similar environments, this happens a lot on interior spaces on the server. Once I was revived from hospital I tried to leave but couldn't find the exit due to the laggy textures. The only way to fix this issue is to log off the server and re join. This could have been mistaken as combat logging, but I thought the 'RP scene' was over due to me being hospitalized and being revived. If the ban is referring to another situation please explain, and i will try my best to share my side of events.

Why should we unban you ?: As mentioned in the question above this could of been a mistake, due to me re-joining and not explaining fully to anyone near me what issues I was experiencing. I feel people may have misunderstood the situation, and in the future I will mention the issues I am having and attempt to tell people the reasons for me leaving the server to prevent this from reoccurring. Since I have joined the community I have dedicated the last couple of weeks before my ban, building my characters identity and developing relationships within the community. The last thing I want is to have this taken away from me, I have many plans for the future to allow me to progress further with the community as a whole. I plan to apply to certain departments such as LSPD & Fire as I have most experience within these trusted roles allowing me to open up other opportunities for RP situations in the future.

Since my ban, I have taken the time to reflect on my behaviour and have made an effort to understand the reasons for my ban. I have also familiarized myself with the community's guidelines/rules and will make sure to adhere to them in the future. I assure you that my past behaviour will not be repeated and that I will be a positive and productive member of the community moving forward. I understand that trust must be earned, and I am willing to put in the time and effort to regain it.

I would be grateful for the opportunity to be unbanned and to continue to be a part of this community and continuing my characters journey within this community.

Right... let´s have a look into your inventory and what had actually happened.

Your pockets are lined with a large amount of drugs and other illegal items. The police is about to stop and search you and are attempting to roleplay with you... You run away from them, into the lobby, and log out right away. Nothing said of not being able to see. Also, you seemed to have no issues finding the lobby and, correct me if I´m wrong, if you have texture issues, it usually effects the whole building, does it not?

You're correct,  it does affect the whole building but I have a good idea of where I am based on being able to see players when my textures are gone. I generally know my way around the hospital and knew where i was based on where the players are e.g. players laying in bed and players are usually loitering in the lobby. 

The only reason I left after this is because I didn't hear anyone talking to be and had to leave in order to sort my textures. If I had known someone was talking to me I would have mentioned this before leaving. I will try harder in the future to better clarify my intentions if I do get another chance to prove myself to the community. I understand how this caused an issue, thinking back on it I should have definitely approached the situation alot differently. My initial understanding was that once I was hospitalised and revived that the current scenario would be over, but it doesn't appear to be that way. I now know what to do differently.

(C2.3) Combat logging - Logging out at any point during RP is exploiting. Some examples of this include: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out in order to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained. Punishment is a permanent ban. Staff can make an informed decision depending on if you’ve made an attempt to resolve the issue. We do suggest you attempt to rejoin the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first).

This rule is in place to ensure that all scenarios that are carried out come to a fair conclusion rather than one person deciding that they want an easy way out, if this rule wasn't in place it would lead to alot of unfair scenarios that would have come to an unjustified ending due to one person leaving . This is an RP server and everything should be RPed as much as possible, there isn't an easy way out in real life nor should there be one on this server and that is why there are consequences for doing so. People may not like how some scenarios end due to them eaither being arrested or loosing gear after being robbed but this is all apart of playing within a fair and balanced community.

I will give you another shot, however, any ban within the next 6 months will be permanent again and much harder to appeal. The items and cash in your inventory will also be wiped as a punishment for combat logging. Do not waste this chance.
