Ban ID: !!rpuk10356!!
Reason given for your ban: C1.7
In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: C1.7 is common sense, in all honestly, I think I was banned for just being in an awful situation and not using my head/brain as the rule implies and just got myself out of there and avoided it all together.
Why should we unban you ?: Hello there, I believe you should unban me for reasons stated below.
The situation involved is a weird one. I've had to take some days to myself to wrap my own head around it... and after watching the videos and trying to recall the events that took place all I can do is write what I know and what I believe happened in as much detail as possible. And further add what I actually should have done given a chance to redo it again and actually use my brain.
The report made was for a NVL/RDM on another party. I was the NHS medic on duty at the time. I was called to the disturbance after a dispatch was put in for fighting and people getting beaten, when I arrived on scene there was one patient down on the outside of the building and no signs of any struggles or any crimes being committed, I was greeted on arrival and taken to the patient. I then started my roleplay experience and asked him his name and what had happened, he told me he had got into a fight and was just beaten, so I roleplayed some cuts and bruises and had a chat while doing it, treated his wounds got him back on his feet and I was fairly happy with the quality of roleplay and so was he it seemed.
After treating the first patient I then do what I usually do in these situations and I ask if anyone else has been hurt, because if it was fighting surely there's more than one party injured but only one party would have been downed, I was then told that there was 2 other patients one upstairs and one downstairs who had both been beaten like the first person. So, I took that information given to me at the time and did what I thought was correct. Upon arriving inside the building, I at first could not see the downed person downstairs and was guided upstairs and promised that even though they were a lot of them no harm would be done too me, so I followed... Which was what I feel was (COMMON SENSE MISTAKE NUMBER 1, UPON HEARING THAT I SHOULD HAVE USED MY COMMON SENSE AND REFUSED TO FOLLOW AND ASKED FOR THE PATIENT TOO BE BOUGHT TOO ME WHERE I COULD TREAT HIM IN A SAFER ENVIROMENT OR REFUSED TO FOLLOW HIM ALTOGETHER). Apologise for the caps I'm just using it to highlight my thoughts over the last few days after rethinking the situation and my thoughts will remain in capitals further in the report just for clarity.
Upon making the first mistake I followed upstairs and I found the 2nd patient down on the ground and numerous people in the room I greeted them and they told me what had happened, I then did the same as the first patient and I do with all patients and I introduced myself and asked them what had happened... I received no response, I repeated myself and received no response not even a /me which is what I'm used to when people are unconscious etc so that I can roleplay different and prepare myself. I then asked the people in the room if they knew what had happened they told me he was beaten and hadn't been downed long, so I then started my treatment, treated him for cuts and bruises and then revived him, upon me reviving him guns was drawn out and he was told to put his hands up he didn't respond to them at first until multiple prompts when he then spoke and put his hands up, I was then told too go and stand at the back of the room where i wouldn't get hurt which in the video you can hear me in saying that I will stand over here out of harm's way. (THIS IS WHERE I FEEL THE 2ND COMMON SENSE MISTAKE WAS MADE, AT THIS INSTANCE I SHOULD HAVE EITHER REQUESTED TO LEAVE BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE HAPPENED AS I'D HELPED THE PATIENT, OR BETTER YET PRESSED MY PANIC BUTTON AND HOPED THE POLICE WOULD COME TO MY RESCUE).
Sadly, I didn't and it's something I do regret as its clearly protocol one. Once the situation had happened and they had shot him again... I was asked to leave and go back downstairs to treat the 3RD patient i hadn't seen upon coming into the building originally. (THIS IS WHERE THE 3RD COMMON SENSE MISTAKE I FEEL WAS MADE. WHAT I SHOULD HAVE DONE IS JUST ASK THEM TO TAKE HIM TOO THE HOSPITAL THEMSELF’S AS I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE IN THE SITUATION AND HAD JUST BEEN THROUGH A TRUAMATIC EXPPERIENCE AND THEN GOT INTO MY CAR AND LEFT THE SCENE AND REPORTED WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO THE POLICE).
Once I had seen this now third patient I did as before and introduced myself and asked what had happened this time round the guy responded to me and told me he was beaten with knuckle dusters and that he was only in a slight bit of pain, I then treated him to the pain by roleplaying disinfecting his cuts applying some plasters and then got him back on his feet and healed him, he was happy with the role play and thanked me at the time and I felt that it was satisfactory, once he was treated I was thanked by the gang and told to leave as they would deal with everything now. I then left the scene and took a small break IRL to get over the situation. What I should have probably done and obviously realise now is reported it to the police which I didn't do at the time and I apologise for that.
I understand why the rule was broken and after I have taken time to reflect, I understand why the punishment was placed. I have no arguments against it and respect the choice made by the staff dealing with the report itself as it couldn't have been an easy one to make with so much going on.
All I can say is that I'm sorry, sorry to the affected party who wasn't happy that I didn't give him a better roleplay experience and when under normal circumstances I do deliver that perfectly. I also apologise to staff for them having to deal with it in the first place as I should have done better.
I had never been in that situation before as a medic and should have used my common sense and got the hell out of there before any of that took place and reported it to the police to deal with. I should have delivered a better-quality roleplay too the party involved there and I'm disappointed in myself that it wasn't kept up to the high standards I hold for my roleplay usually. I have been a medic for a while and take huge pride that I've been able to put my quality roleplay to good use and make other people's stay enjoyful and have put a lot of time and effort into that role as a whole and would hate to have my common sense be the reason, I lost it all.
I understand as a whitelisted faction we are held too different standards and, in some ways, lead the way when it comes to quality roleplay, I'm ashamed that in this instance that wasn't what happened and am extremely disappointed in myself that not only me but it effected other people too. I apologise to everyone involved and I am going to put all my thoughts and all my time into correcting and making sure that doesn't happen again in the future.
I hope that you can see how much I've reflected on this and see how much I've studied the situation. Sadly, this is not the first time I've been banned and I'm not proud of it I should do better. I tried so hard to avoid everything or anything sticky since that last ban because the city and character mean a lot to me this is just a freakish situation that never happens normally and i didn't know how to react or use my common sense accordingly. I hope that you all can give me another chance, even if some may not think I deserve it.
Thank you everyone and staff for taking time to read this, I'm sorry you have too, I should have done better and I will do better next time if given that chance, I understand if the chance isn't given as it isn't my first offence and whatever decision is made I will 100% agree on as I only have myself to blame for being here. I'm extremely unhappy with my actions and I need to do better WILL do better all I can do is hope for that opportunity and ask for one.
