Reason given for your ban: C2.3 (Combat Logging)

In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I believe I was banned because i had logged out of a situation from where i was getting robbed. I was not able to communicate with those robbing me as i had microphone issues and had instead decided to logout instead of deal with the situation first and then sorting my technical issue after. This is the only event i am able to recall, please correct me on any other situation leading up to my banning and i will attempt to recall and provide additional information.

Why should we unban you ?: I have been away from Roleplay.co.uk for near enough 3 months now and have looked over my actions and i have thought about how and why these rules are in place. I had not properly been aware of the rules which is completely my fault and mine only, I should have thoroughly read all the rules before joining RPUK and committing to such a serious Roleplay server, and i would like to apologise to those whose roleplay experience i had ruined due to this and to the staff who had to deal with my ban. At the end of the day, i truly regret my actions because RPUK and its community offers such an amazing roleplay experience to those who have the chance to play, this roleplay experience was ruined by me for those who were attempting to rob me and my roleplay was appalling. Again i would like to apologise to those who roleplay experience was ruined because of my actions.

Well there seems to be a bit more effort in this appeal than the previous. 

So looking over this a few things come into question. Now you are claiming you had issues that your microphone wasn't working, If this is the truth why didn't you post a message in OOC, Make a ticket on discord or come to talk to a member of the staff team in teamspeak? 

I have had a look and none of the above we're done, So my question for this is why? 

Since you claim your microphone wasn't working, I'd assume you had audio? If so why didn't you comply with the people in the situation with you prior to you combat logging?

If you did have issues why didn't you return to the server to carry on the situation ?

@StuartDuring the situation of me being robbed, I had panicked as i was confused on what was happening and how i could resolve my issue in time. I have no excuse to why i didnt use OOC chat or discuss the situation in discord or TS, all i can say to that is im sorry and i should have let the people know that i was having issues and that we could continue RP after it was fixed instead of logging. 

Yes, I had audio and I could hear the people at all times, my stupidity got the best of me and i should have returned to RP immediately instead of attempting to save my items.

During my time away I have learned that this is not a valid level of RP and i should never present this level of RP towards RPUK again.

In relation to these microphone issues, Never hurts bringing it to our attention and who knows we might even have a solution for you! Unless you ask you will never know in all fairness, Just putting that out there. 

Did you read the rules prior to this ban, If not please explain why? 

After this can you quote the rule you have been banned for and explain in your own words why you believe we have such a rule in a place?

Lets say we allow you back, How can we be sure you won't simply do the same thing again ? Since your reason for not returning in your own words is "Stupidity".

You are correct Stuart, i should have just asked, it was my mistake for not bringing it to any ones attention that i could not communicate with the people involved and i should have just asked to have time to fix my issue before continuing. 

Onto your next question, with full honesty i will say no, i did not read the rules prior to my ban, even prior to joining the server. I was shown this server my two other friends who had said ''this server is serious, dont mess about, they are strict''. I have no reasoning to why i did not read the rules, i should have known better than to continue on with my character's story without reading the rules of the server. I apologise for not reading the rules properly and i now understand that the rules of RPUK are so important because without them, the server would not run as well as it does.

(C2.3) Combat logging - Logging out at any point during RP is exploiting. Some examples of this include: logging out during a firefight, being chased by the police, arrested by the police, while dead awaiting a medic, logging out in order to save gear, rage-quitting, logging out whilst restrained/detained. Punishment is a permanent ban. Staff can make an informed decision depending on if you’ve made an attempt to resolve the issue. We do suggest you attempt to rejoin the server and continue the roleplay (try messaging them with the mobile system first).

The rule against combat logging has been put in place to prevent people from gaining an unfair advantage over those they engage RP with. Logging out of RP while being arrested to avoid losing any items of value on your character is considered combat logging and is not allowed because it ruins the roleplay experience for others. It gives an unfair advantage to the person who combat logs as they do not suffer from any in RP punishment.

If you were to grant me with a final chance in your community, I will not break any rules, and I will provide the highest quality of roleplay that I can, I can reassure you that if you were to give me one more chance, you will not see me here again.

So, your microphone wasn't working and you disconnected to the server whilst being robbed for your drugs. I've had a look in your pockets, what happened to the drugs on your person?

I find it hard to recall what happened with the drugs that i had on myself. I believe i attempted to drop them to those who were trying to rob me however I cant fully recall what happened. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Right, we're willing to give you another chance to play here. Do keep in mind that these bans come with a permanent ban, with a 30 day cooldown. I can see you've been banned for quite a while and your next ban no matter the rule break, will land you with a perm within the next 6 months.

I don't see the point in wiping your pockets as you don't have anything of value anyway and that the drugs you once had in that situation are now gone to whatever happened that day.
