Why do you think you were banned: I was banned under the rule C2.1 around September 2023. The exact reasoning of my ban still remains unknown to me but I believe it has something to do with a screenshot being posted of me supporting someone to set up some sort of cheating software. I'd like to clarify that at this point in time I was not playing RPUK and the person I helped was someone that was community banned from RPUK at the time. I know about the installation and setting up of cheats due to a hobby of mine that I picked up whilst not being apart of RPUK over 4 years ago which I will explain below.
Why should we unban you: Cheating is not something I condone and something that I personally have ever done myself. In my time away from RPUK I've actually put a lot of time into catching cheaters on various servers and I am part of a team that works with various communities to locate cheats on peoples computers. This is done via manual methods and also various different softwares/scanners that assist finding cheats. I would be happy to show you guys proof and examples of this if you find this interesting as I still believe this would be of benefit to the community. This is something which I offered to RPUK via a ticket which resulted in a lengthy conversation with TBJ. The intention behind the ticket wasn't to gain anything or be unbanned I genuinely just wanted to help the community out as it was my first five m server and also some of my friends that played mentioned that there has been a few issues with cheaters over the last couple of years. Using game modifications to give you an advantage takes away the fun for other players and it's something that I am very strongly against.
With all that being said I am writing this appeal hoping to return to RPUK. I understand how the screenshot looks and I understand that it is probably very difficult for you to trust me. However, I want to assure you that cheating is something that I haven't done and not something I will ever do. I've been in various different communities throughout my time away ranging from very serious roleplay servers to also not so serious servers and I will say none of them have ever gave me the same level of enjoyment that RPUK once did. If given the chance to return I will ensure that I am always clipping everything and if involved in any shootout scenarios I will always be able to provide POV at any given moment to any member of the community.
I would like to add more to this appeal but I am unsure of the exact reason of my ban and this is the only thing that makes sense to me as I have never used game modifications. If this isn't the case and I could be offered some more information I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have for me.
