In your own words, please type why you think you were banned.: I have been banned for creating another account in order to evade a previous ban.
Why should we unban you ?: Hello again, its that time of year again already? Time sure flies. I've made so many previous ban appeals its going to be hard for me to bring some spice of originality to my appeal, however, I do have some juicy reasoning this time too. Now, my previous ban, to being banned for ban evasion was, for RDM. I would have said previously that it was not RDM because I was already involved in an active fight between the people I killed about 15 minutes before, so I came to understand that its still RDM to kill someone after you are engaged with them not so long previously. Okay, so I've learned that rule, which I believe many people would break not realizing you need to bring another roleplay situation back on the table before you kill your enemy. You can't just kill your enemies without talking to them or engaging somehow. Right, so that rulebreak is understood as I need to work on my roleplay.
Anyway I was allowed to make an appeal for this ban on March 27th 2023.
In between that 6 month ban period my life circumstances shifted and shimmied around as life does and I found myself living in a new place, with a new PC and different internet connection.
The temptation was too much, I simply had to come back to RPUK, as its really one of my favorite things in life.
And so Bernard Matthews was born, (real name Simon Greenway), I considered whether I should use a voice changer so I could go more easily undetected by the players who know my real voice. But with my sense of humor, I decided I would just put on a stupid voice and stay as low profile as possible. I managed to play for 2 months without being detected by staff, however, I got reported for "NVL" in a situation where I would still dispute that it wasn't NVL even now. And, in my opinion, the report only got approved because staff discovered that I was a ban evader. This is because, as the dumbfuck I am, I was just checking when my ban appeal on Morti was up and forgot to log out of that account and replied on the player report on that account. Thus essentially revealing myself. However, the ultimate nail in the coffin was when police raided Bernards house and it was glitched, a member of staff was needed, and it just so happened to be Stuart, who recognized my voice and eventually, I was caught out.
So, a couple of days after that I was summoned to a rooftop and surrounded by 3 members of staff, Stuart, Logan, and a female member of staff I think is called Lilly maybe? I had a chat with them, Stuart told me he will need to extend my ban appeal to September, however, he reduced it down to June for me.
I argued that Id managed to abide by the rules perfectly for 2 months straight, and I learned how to abide by the rules perfectly and engage in effective roleplay more than I ever did, as I needed to make sure I was never reported, otherwise staff would likely catch me out. Thus I have developed a strong understanding of how to abide by the rules, sure, like everyone there could be moments that could come into question, as no one is perfect, and sometimes people act like report spam bots. That's what I noticed, there's some players who are reporting other players daily, and they love it, they are mostly in the wrong in their reports, but they still report. So yeah, I'm sure in the future I could be reported, and with my reputation its going to be a lot harder to not look like im in the wrong.
I believe you should unban me as I am actually very experienced in keeping within the rules on your server, having been through so many processes of rule breaking I am confident I wont be breaking rules in the future. Just like Bernard Matthews had to, I would have to keep my head down to avoid situations where I get reported, as with my reputation, even if the other guy is actually in the wrong, a Shroud of suspicion will be on me. I have stopped drinking alcohol and am at a very stable period in my life. I have actually been loved by many players on the server and my return will not be a burden to the community at all.
I am in fact a safer bet for letting in the server than a new player, and I do actually have my own code "ethics" that make me a safe bet.
I love your city and community, I will be very happy if you let me back again. Please feel free to ask me to expand on anything!
